I’m not trying to have a conversation with you. You would be the last person on this forum I’d want to talk to. I find most people on here to be real passionate and educated Steelers fans, obviously you excluded. I think you get a kick out of being a forum troll and are projecting the fact that no one cares what you think on the rest of us.

I happen to have people that want to spend time eating my food and partying at my house in game days. I can tell you none of the people I talk to or hang with me are happy. We don’t buy merch or spend money. If you think that’s insignificant than that’s a reflection on your self worth.

Wallow in your own misery. The rest of us will continue to be real Steelers fans that don’t support this BS that is the 2018-19-20 Steelers.

And tell your dad mike Tomlin Da Cranberry told him F off and resign with dignity

In nine years here on this board I can honestly tell you I don't think any amount of complaining about any of the 100 topics that regularly get brought up has moved the needle one inch towards change. When there has been big change usually to the good it scares too many people on here and they complain about that change. So while I don't think our group discussions happen in a vacuum I don't believe they are catalysts for change among the front office staff

From what I saw on highlights I would think the problem would be the same with a 4-3 base personnel. The Niners were selling motion with the line and waiting for the Steelers D to overcommit to that motion and then just picking the cut back holes. The inside backers need to stay fluid and track the ball carrier not the motion. If the front 5 all slant to the right and Bush and Barron look like they will plug any hole the back chooses it will force him outside to where they can gang tackle him. In order to do that they need to not guess the gap and the DLine and OLB have to absolutely hold the line. To often lately you see smart OL coaches telling there guys to allow themselves to be pushed back and it opens up holes for the run game especially for cut back runners

Maybe Butler can explain why for two games the D was solid in the first half and completely wilted in the second. Don’t blame it on the O. You have a kid making his first start. It is your job to make sure you pull your weight so that he has a chance for success

3-4, 4-3 doesn't matter. You can give a chef the best aged beef for a steak and he can still burn it. Keith Butler has to go before anything will get better.

Every training camp we hear about how the defense has to fix the communication issues and they never get fixed. The system is flawed.

Try the offense longest drive being EDIT: 2:36...

Say what you want these guys held them to 6 points until late in the third. The offense had the ball with 5 minutes left in the game and the lead. They fumbled it away and put the defense right back out there. Despite this they still stopped them until a dumb as penalty on a 3rd and 11 that was well defended!

EDIT: Just saw my mistake. they didn't have a single drive that lasted 3 minutes!

I was excited to see how Tomlins' hybrid defense would work when he got his guys. 100% correct that it is not working.

It was well defended by 10 guys, but Barron absolutely held Kittle.

The offense's inability to possess the ball is a big part of the problem. The defense definitely seemed to be worn down late in both games.

The real issue in both games is that the defense stopped making big plays in the second half. Against the Seahawks, the Steelers were blowing up drives with sacks in the first half. Against the 49ers, it was turnovers. The first half of that game in San Francisco was misleading. Once the 49ers started taking care of the ball (mostly), the Steelers' defense had no answers.

Butler should shut his pie hole and let the defensive guru Tomlin call the plays.

Beat by a bad undefeated team? What will you think if we lose to a really bad 0-3 team at home?

They were making tackles 15 yards down field. Nice draft pick.

49ers ain’t doing jack. They will finish 6-10. When we get beat by a bad 0-3 team I’ll think exactly what I think now, we suck

The Defense has been falling apart late in the second half for years now.
Even before Butler if I can remember.

The true problem with both of our Coordinators is that they are just place holders to continue on with someone else system that they worked underneath. They were hired into their positions so that the team wouldn't have to go thru any real change. They didn't truly design their offense and defense and most likely don't truly understand it themselves.

This teams pride of staying the same for so long has now become a fear of change and a kryptonite. And it all starts at the top.

Tomlin is not worried because he knows he will NEVER be fired!

But we showed the world how tolerant we are with the way we treated Brown, Bell, Bryant, etc. etc. Tolerance in today's society is all that matters.

I wonder if anyone has ever thought about making an ex-QB a defensive coordinator. After almost every NFL game the winning QB says that he saw the defense lined up in a certain formation and he read it right away and made a big play.
Tony Romo is excellent at pointing out immediately what the offensive play is going to be by reading the defense. I think an ex-QB would be well suited to design a defense that would stop an opposing teams offense.

Considering that Rooney doesn't even let the minority owners sway him, he sure as heck doesn't care what fans say.

Only way to affect the owner of an NFL team is to hit them in the pockets.
