Its almost impossible in the NFL to lose a game when your defense gets 5 TURNOVERS!!!

This game is a lot worse than the final score. If the 49ers hadn't tried to give the game away they would've won by 20+ points.

Steelers will be lucky to go 8-8 this season.

The schedule eases up moving forward. Games left against the Dolphins, Jets, Cardinals, Bengals, and Browns. It wouldn't surprise me if the Steelers swept those games and finished with a respectable record.

However, as it stands now, this team looks more like a 5-11 team than anything else.

Im sure we will win some games this year, but sweeping the teams you mentioned will be a tall task. 6-10 is about the best I am hoping for at this point.

The Steelers offense gave it away a couple of times. Connor fumbled at a critical time in the game. The offense was pretty inept in the first half scoring 6 points off turnovers. The 9ers scored 14 point off turnovers. That was the difference in the game.

The Steelers are not a good team right now.

Everyone is bummed that we aren't picking in the top 10. But we are in the 2nd round and we got our young good first-rounder a season early to gel with his teammates.

This club has been swinging and missing on A LOT of first-rounders in recent years other than Watt, so I'll take the proven NFL player now.

The five TO's makes assessing the game difficult.

At least two of those were unforced errors by the Niners, but hey, the Steelers were there to get on the ball, so you have to give the D some credit for that. At the same time, they couldn't get a big stop when needed and receivers were wide open in the middle the entire game.

On the offensive side they made some plays, especially in the second half, but they only scored 20 pts which isn't going to win many games. When you include the 5 TO's, twenty points is unacceptable. I'm not sure how much to put on the line, the receivers, or the play calling.

Rudolph has to get better though. He wasn't decisive enough imo. He made one perfect throw in terms of timing and location, and it was great, but the rest were mediocre to bad. The last TD was OK, but let's be real, any NFL quality starter has to make that throw 90%+ of the time.

This. Is everyone really that confident with the Steelers ability to pick and nurture first round talent as of late?

Yes and no. With their last top 12 picks, Steelers got what, Polamalu and Big Ben? Later first round picks they have been hit and miss. With Tomlin at the helm of this Superstar-less team, we may have given Miami a top 5 pick.

It’s also hard to only get a 3rd and a 5th total for both AB and Bell. GM down needs replaced

I saw a snip of Tomlins presser looks like he is blaming the defense for the loss .. Doesnt matter if they were on te field 80% of the time

Schedule gets really easy. They've got 6 games left against the Dolphins, Jets, Browns, and Bengals. They'll rack up some wins.

From what I heard of the press conference he said something about the offense not doing enough, they only scored 6 points off of the 5 turnovers. The defense is going to get tired, if the offense can't sustain drives. The 49ers dominated time of possession.
