Well, if you'd have told me before the game the Steelers would be up by 3 at the half, I'd be okay with it, without knowing they were plus 4 in the turnover column.

 

He’s going up against a really good defense. And this offense didn’t do anything yet all season.

 

Even though there’s a new O Line coach, these guys were together for a few years now.
Coach should be no excuse this season.

Maybe the guys just “lost it”.

 

Ppl wanna bench Mason already. For what? Nobody getting open and barely having anytime to throw.....

 

I hope the offense comes to life. This is terrible. Just getting a TD to start the 2nd half will go a long way to putting some confidence in them

First half thoughts: Up 3 with +4 TO ratio = TERRIBLE!!!!!

Kid is nervous, I get it, IMO he will not pass for any TD's today and Niners will make sure of that. They will get their act together and score on us for sure.

The Offense overall is struggling to find any rhythm whatsoever. That is not good on the road. Hopefully the "Wizard of Boz" can bail us out today.


Either that or gain some traction on Offense.

Didn’t convert a 3rd down until the last drive of the half. Defense has been very good, but they will probably wear down. The offense has to help them out in the second half

 

Looks to me like the receivers have issues getting open again. MR given time in the pocket but no one open. Have we run any screens?

Agreed. Fichtner is calling plays like he is protecting a qb starting his first game, and San Fran is calling plays like they are going against a first time starter. The reverse was a good lay to get away from that. Let’s see what happens the 2nd half.

without reading other comments because I just got here I would guess the majority think Mason is having a bad game and they would be right... sure guys are not always getting open but Masons throws for the most part have been off. It's his first game so I would give him a pass but this defence is lights out. Very impressed with what I see so far. Would be nice to see a game when both the offense and defence were doing good things

 

This also. Plus Grimble and I think Ju Ju had catchable passes hit them in the hands.

 

I guess he decided not to help Rudolph after all.
