They won the SB last year with Edelman as #1 WR, and a brokedown Gronk. They still have Gordon if he doesn't get suspended, and the rookie Harry might come back.

I'd pay money to watch Drew melt down and just go off on Brown. It's got to be coming

I don't. When you post threatening photos of other people's kids, I hope someone takes a crowbar to his knees.

Very True. That's who I said would end up with him a couple weeks before the draft but I didn't think it would be this chaotic to get there then implosion immediately following.

Does this dispel the whole Patriots/AB conspiracy theories or does it just mean the conspiracy blew up?

Clearly not, but the plan worked fine if it weren't for things that nobody here knew about came to light. Accusations of sexually assaulting and then raping one woman and sexually harassing another do tend to change things a bit. So does the guy sending threatening text messages to one of his accusers, though that part was predictable.

I do look forward to anybody on this site showing us where they predicted such accusations were coming against Brown. I don't remember it, but hey, perhaps I missed it.

It blew up. I certainly hope the Steelers didn't know about the trainer making accusations about Brown sexually assaulting her and then raping her. I say accusations because that's all they are at this point, but it wouldn't be a great look if the only action the Steelers took was to make sure he was someone else's problem when the story broke.

More likely, they didn't know this was coming. The Patriots either didn't know it was coming or they were arrogant enough to think they could just ignore the ****storm and play him. Either is possible. The Patriots certainly aren't short on arrogance.

There was no conspiracy and the Pats didn't know about the rape allegations. It was reported multiple places that AB knew about the incoming **** storm but that he didn't tell NE about it before he signed.

That is the story the Patriots are telling. Do you trust them to tell the truth? I don't.

I do think Rosenhaus and Brown were manipulating things for a while and they got him into a great situation, but Brown ruined it. The only question is if the allegations against him were enough or was the real final straw that he sent those text messages. The Patriots seemed to think Brown's terrible behavior was fine as long as it was things that happened before they signed him, but that he continued to misbehave on their roster was unacceptable.
