Ben may have not started off great, but Mason kept the Steelers in the game, with some help from a turnover.

But c'mon man, a defense can't just let a team score 4 times on 4 drives one after the other. At some point the D needs to step up and make a stop to help the offense out.

Defense fell asleep forgetting that the QB could run.

I'm proud that the defense made Seattle run 2 plays to pick up that 3rd and 16.. Figured they would have given it up on 1.. They buckled down.. God there pathetic

They looked pretty good early but as opposing teams generally adjust, our gang does not. I don't get it

Yeah, I had high hopes with the sacks in the first half, but it just fell apart in the second half.

Wait til Butler has to change time zones next week. He's going to be really confused.

Given the large draft capital spent the last 6-7 years on defense the return hasn’t been great.

Not happy with our safety play over the last few years ...it's hard to make plays when you're consistently out of position & never track the balls...

Bush way too early but he has not impressed at all.

Steelers drafting has been horrible on the defensive side of the ball

They got their sacks and they even forced turnovers. So it doesn’t look so bad on paper; however, situationally they were as they always are, horrible. When’s the last time the opposing team had the ball in a close game and the Steelers really need a stop that you actually felt confident they would that stop? I haven’t had that confidence in so long it’s not funny.

The defense is terrible, but why are the starters off the field so often? Time and again, two of three starting defensive linemen were out of the game with Alualu on the field. Chickillo played way too much. Not only did he make no positive plays, as usual, he whiffed horribly on what should have been a tackle for a loss on Penny's long touchdown run. Maybe Watt was still hurting, but on a third-and-two inside your own 40, he needs to be on the field. If he's there, that's a loss and the Seahawks settle for three at best.

Maybe it's because Tomlin's draft sheets are as blank as his game plans.

Saw Edmonds make one good play on a pass breakup, Davis is just plain bad and not smart. That blocking in the back on the touchdown is high school mistake. When is the last time Davis has even touched the ball.. Just horrible safety play, try Sutton back there.

And please I am so sick of hearing about communications every year.

Been saying it for a few years now. Our FS play is horrid and it will continue to be that way as long as our coaches keep claiming that our Safeties are interchangeable and they fail to address the position with a true FS either by FA or the draft. Some thought SD was capable of it. I never did....

Waiting for the "still missing Shazier" excuse for the last 2 years to appear. I believe that our players are not as much a problem as the coaching not putting them in positions to be successful. Can't remember any in-game demonstration of changes to the tactics being used by the other teams for the past several years. We don't have a coaching staff like other teams. Our best and only coach left this year and the O Line's performance demonstrating his absence. We need to get change in our coaching staff from top to bottom. Until then, nothing will change except the excuses.
