Problem is he didn't engage the center. He engaged the tackle and fell forward. The center isn't protected from being touched at all. That's damn near impossible. As seen on the PAT he fires off through the line contacting everyone!

 

The sheer sloppiness — Stupid penalty on McCullers. Dropped passes. Bad punts. Missed tackles. All staples of the Tomlin era.

I guess we're both seeing very different things either on TV or when we're there. On that punt it doesn't pan very high, but the 20 or so 1st rows you can see are MAYBE 75% full. On the kickoff following the Steelers touchdown the number of empty seats was pretty clear. I switch over to the Packer game (I'm in Wisconsin) and Lambeau is full, there are a few seats open here and there but not like in Pittsburgh. There is just no way that that many people are pee'nig, and getting food.

Lets see what the stadium looks like after the Steelers score on this drive.
