Antonio Brown Mega Thread (Was: AB is upset he's being fined by the Raiders

You read a short article with skimpy details and determined she's a money grubbing ho who made it all up. I think that's a pretty good start at realizing why women often don't even bother coming forward. We simply don't know enough to say whether to believe her or not. Personally I think the allegations seem credible, especially when you also read the texts AB sent her. He clearly has no respect for women.

 

From the looks of it she slept with a client, who I'm sure she knew AB has a GF. She's seeing $$$$$$$$$$$$$ signs.

 

Even if she slept with him willingly at some point it doesn't give him the right to rape her.

 

I don't need to know a lot about a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by the same person THREE TIMES on 3 separate occasions.

Obviously I don't have a dog in this fight but she must have been ok since she kept in contact with him instead of going straight to the police after being tragically scarred by the incident(s).

 

She was in his bed once so he couldn't have raped her? That's your argument? Attitudes like this are why many women don't even bother coming forward or trying a criminal case.

 

It wasn't continuous contact. After the first two, she broke off communications with him. Several months later, he sought her out and apologized and asked to work with her again.

 

This simply isn't the way things work in the real world. Again, many women never tell anyone when they are sexually assaulted and I think this thread is a great primer on why. People come up with all sorts of strange reasons that they must be lying. There is no right easy to respond when someone is sexually assaulted and often they are so traumatized that they don't act in ways that seem completely rational.

And maybe she wasn't thinking really clearly or rationally about what to do because she was traumatized. It probably also doesn't help that she knew she'd be immediately accused of making it all up and everything is set up in the favor of the accused in our Justice system. Whatever. We don't know the truth but the reasons people are deciding not to believe her are in this thread are ridiculous.

 

Yeah I have this attitude because if he raped her go to the police, don't wait until a year later to file a civil suit.

I doubt anything comes from this related to playing with the Pats. Lately seems like Goodell's been asleep at the switch.

 

My understanding is the first 2 accounts where basically AB whipping it out. The 3rd was the alleged rape. Which is going to be hard to defend considering ABs own words were... you made me feel like a rapist last night.

They did in OJ's civil suit. I would think if it was a money grab they would prefer a jury trial rather than just the judge hearing the case because the judge is harder to sway than a twelve member jury. I don't think it gets that far because he would have to give a deposition and they can ask anything in it.

 

I don't know how his behavior from last season until today doesn't tarnish the shield. The power of the commissioner clearly covers this and it's in the best interest of the league to take him out of the spotlight.

 

Which is an easy attitude for you to have and conveniently ignores all that a woman has to endure after being raped if she decides to try to prosecute the rapist. And that most likely she will go through it all for nothing because rape is really hard to prove criminally. Again, looking through this thread at some of the attitudes expressed should make it clear why.

 

That's fine for you to doubt it. We have very little information to go on so you should doubt everything at this point. But a lot of the reasons for doubting the story that are being brought up in this thread are BS, imo.

 

What is the video u posted? Is that her in the video, or some other girl that AB is trying to through in er face...AND wht the hell was he saying.i dont speak that crap

 

Goodell didnt suspend Kraft when he charged for soliciation of a prostitute .. they sure not gona do anything over a lawsuit....

I’m tending to believe this woman. I think a Brown went off the deep end several years ago. Seems to think he’s bigger than things around him.

 

If it is true, I don't understand why she doesn't want to pursue criminal charges as well as civil ones. Wants to cooperate with the NFL? What about the other girls that AB is around?
