Yeah he's good at making fair catches on punts returns, but as a WR he catches short passes and goes down on the first contact. If the Steelers think they got their version of Edelman, they're fooling themselves.

I agree; Switz played 67% of snaps while Washington, Conner, and Johnson only played 52%, 46%, and 36% respectively. Switzer has shown to be neither dynamic nor reliable during his time here. The amount of snaps he received combined with Moncrief's playing 90

Ya Tomlin said at his press conference today Washington played a very significant role in the game Sunday which is a complete load of crap. He barely played 50 percent while Moncrief played 90 percent. Having both Moncrief and Switzer playing more snaps then Washington and Johnson at this point I think makes this offense a lot worse and is gonna hold them back.

Switzer is just an extension of the run game. A lot of security outlets and quick hitters and I'm perfectly fine with that. Is he dynamic with the ball in his hands - no. But he is usually in the right spot and reliable catching. I'm OK with the dink and dunk if it keeps our defense off the field. A dink here and a dunk there and you got a first down. Ben can usually throw those accurately. It's his deep ball "in stadium" that needs to be "varsity". :lolol:

The game was a complete melt down. I'm taking player evaluations for this game, with the exception of Moncrief, at a minimum.

Ya I get tired of seeing Ben take these shots down the field that are terrible throws and not even close as opposed to just moving the chains on first down and sustaining long drives. He always seems to do this a lot when the Steelers have good drives going and it just kills any kind of momentum that they actually have.

Don’t get the hate for Switzer. He’s a hard working gritty player with good hands.

And he averages 4 yac so stop with that silliness.

He’s a good security blanket for Ben.

The only person over rating him is Ben.. The rest of us know that Switzer is trash unless he's at UNC lighting up Pitts secondary

Was talking about when he played Pitt in college. But your right our secondary would make anyone look good. It's been like this for how many years now? And tomlin was a secondary's coach at one point? Lol yea

He shouldn't be getting that many targets though, give those to Washington moving forward, or Johnson will be a bigger factor soon.

It would be nice if McDonald got more targets and Switzer less. Nothing against Switzer, but McDonald is more capable of big yardage plays. Ben needs to find #89 more often.

Yeah the game plan was :poopy:, they didn't target Vance until late in the 4th quarter .

Don't know whats going on with that. Vance doesn't seem to be in their plans, TE's in general. Could be why they aren't worried about going out and getting another TE. Ficht said they have no intentions of increasing his snaps now that James is gone.

Yeah and promptly ran out of bounds.

He struggles getting open. Ben should avoid the open guy to force it to the guy who isn't? Come on Six.

I'd like to see Switzer get some opportunities to catch deeper passes. It's not his fault he's the safety valve and it's not his fault he's tiny, as far as breaking tackles.

If that story is true Ben texted Switzer during the Super Bowl, saying they could be like Brady and Edelman :roflmao:

For some reasons they only feel the need to use JW on low percentage plays. It’s deep or nothing. All we heard all PS was that he’s lighter, quicker and a better route runner. Yet he seemingly doesn’t get a chance to do anything but go deep. IMO Rogers>Switzer. Eli has a bigger catch radius and more of a threat in the middle of the field and more wiggle in the open field. If you need someone to run 5 yards and turn around Switzer is your guy. He’s a minimal threat in the return game. I would rather see Holton returning kicks and DJ returning punts. We need to have better field position to help out our O.

If that story is true. Do we even have a emoji that can capture how ridiculous that notion is.
