    Trade him.
Few players now, few draft picks.

I highly doubt he retires. He may not give 100% to football anymore but I'm 100% sure he loves cashing those pay checks.

Loved primetime as a player, he was a threat to score everytime he touched the ball (major threat).
As a person not so much, to much swagger I guess.

Ben will play out his contract he has that look almost every year.

I hate to admit it, but the thought crossed my mind before Dion said it, like just before the game ended. However, Ben seems like the type who toughs things out. If it turns out to be a real bad year, he may say it time to give a younger guy a chance.

It's concerning to me that the train is running off the rails and Ben is in the engine room. He won't retire he loves the money, and who wouldn't.

I have been a fan for more years then I can remember and this team is on a downslide, not just because of that pathetic showing against the cheats but the way this team has been built, coaching, drafting. Promises, promises we have the carrot dangled.

This team unless making a 180 turnaround will struggle to sniff the playoffs. But Popcorn will hold the candle of never having a losing season. Again.

This can't be right, it usually takes til mid season to get the preseason rust off. He played 1 preseason quarter and he's suppose to be ready. :lolol: Tomlin should be the one retiring

Not necessarily agreeing with Deion, but...........

Ben is in many ways like Jim Kelly, in style of play and physicality. When Kelly faded, he faded fast. It's possible we're seeing it with Ben right now, I thought Ben was in decline last yr. but it was hidden by two things:
    1) he threw a zillion times so his total yd and TD numbers looked good, but were somewhat inflated.
    2) because passing stats are way up around the league, Ben's stats like % comp,%Td, yd/att used be in the top 5-10, now put him top 10-15. He slid back relative to the league.

I'm not saying this is then end for Ben, but it might be. And if not now, I'll bet it will be by end of next season.

If the season goes bad all the heat will be on Ben. But I doubt he would retire midseason.
