NFLNetwork is reporting he has a sprained AC joint, don't know if he will miss time.

About as bad a way to kick off the season as you could get.

    Embarrassing loss
    JuJu hurt
    Watt hurt
    Haden hurt

This one is on Tomlin. I freely admit I was wrong when posting about it during the game. i thought they should at least keep the offensive starters in when things got out of hand, but Tomlin left all of the starters in and they suffered injuries to four key starters in garbage time.

Gonna be Metcalfs coming out party. With our DBs ball skills just throw it up there.Maybe it’s Nelson’s turn to be exposed like Barren and Mongrief

Huge loss and one we can’t afford.

To start the season with such little depth at CB, S and TE isn’t good enough.

Let’s hope he makes a speedy recovery!

Still angry the Steelers passed on him. I'm a big DJ fan obviously but Metcalf is going to be uncoverable in this league.

All he needs is one game to get his confidence going the same. William Jackson III is quietly one of the best corners in the AFC overall. Artie Burns on the other hand?! Only one way I can react to this!!:

Just saw that JuJu and Pouncey should be ok. Don't know the severity of Hadens.

Watt is the one that may miss considerable time. Hip injuries are bad.

In hindsight I agree he should have pulled them (although I felt they needed the reps), but it's rare to see an NFL coach pull the starters in a blowout, winning or losing. It's been that way for awhile now (by my observation anyway, especially the first game of the season).

I could understand the concern but is playing guys in PS some more any worse than playing them in a game that has already been decided. I mean for a QB , you’re losing big in the game the D knows you are gonna be throwing the ball. They’re pinning their ears back and coming after you with no real concerns about having to defend the run. To me that’s a recipe for disaster as well. WRs make easy targets as well. I don’t know what the answer is but the current MO clearly isn’t.

This is why you don't give him big money. Injury prone. Just as I suspected.

I thought last night would have been a perfect opportunity (late in the 4th) to bring in Mason and let him get his feet wet in a real game situation. Even if it's just to hand the ball off, since the game is already decided. We know that will never happen as long as Ben is QB (or it hasn't happened yet, obviously). Instead, they're running the 2 minute offense at the end, but they're down by 5 scores. That's usually when someone gets hurt.

Ben should have played more in the preseason. He always starts slow because he never gets enough work. And he always struggles when he is off for a week. He should have played in the 4th game, at least a little. I would have left Ben in the game the other night as well because he needs the freaking work and the WRs need to work with him. I sure as **** wouldn't be giving Ben the day of practice, half day, no day BS he's been doing for years. Ben needs to work. His rust and lack of cohesion with the WRs is a major issue.

It was a bad performance by Ben, but Moncrief didn't help any with the drops... Ben threw those balls accurately. WRs must make those catches.
