I know we say this every year but I really thought if not us this was the year someone knocks the Pats off. I just cant see that happening now but you never know. The 9-7 giants beat the 18-0 pats.

I want to say start fast and precise on O, but I don’t know if that will happen.

I’m hoping, though, for 4-5 wide sets, using DJ and JW lots, keeping the Pats on their toes and avoiding getting bogged down in the red zone.

Defensively, just smart, focused, aggressive football. I want Bud to carry on his preseason form, and use Bush and Barron at ILB more than VW. I suspect the Pats will try going no huddle early to exploit VW’s lack of pace - we have the tools to counter that.

Watching some of the early games, I’ve seen a fair few defenses with a) poor tackling and b) not getting enough players to the ball to make up for broken tackles.

I think we looked ok for this in the preseason, but it’s of vital importance we keep that going tonight.

 

Defend the dink and dunk and sure tackling.
If the Steelers run the ball over 30 times we will win this game.
