In the next CBA I think the owners need to add a few things.

1) If you are cut for conduct detrimental to the team you are unable to sign with another team for 12 months. You go threaten to punch your GM in DEC...you get cut you cant be signed until next DEC.

They have set a precedent with AB....as Max Starks put it "Failing upward" You can't continue to let players just blow up a team to get what they want. The Steelers lost one of the best WR's in the game and 20 mill in cap space....The Raiders lost the same WR and 3rd and a 5th for nothing......Brown got exactly what he wanted.

2) You have a contract you play under the contract or you don't play. The team can approach the player with the idea of renegotiating, but the player can not just decide I don't like the contract anymore and will sit out until my demands are met. If the player wants to to sit out in order to renegotiate his contract his signing bonus must be paid back to the team. He basically would be buying either his freedom or his new contract

You don't negotiate with terrorists. I love Zeke, but no way do I give him that deal. You and your agent signed and agreed to the contract. I will take care of you when its time for a new one..and most likely 1 year before that. Melvin Gordon has one year left. Contracts are starting to mean nothing....well unless you are just a good player in the league. If you are a top player...you are allowed to run the asylum and that has to stop. Bell was completely within his rights to sit out. He had no contract. Both these guys do.


Obviously I probably over simplified the ideas...but the league is turning off fans left and right. I am as die hard a fan as it gets, and even I am starting to waver based on the amount of BS you have to sift through just to watch a football game.
