LOL. The Raiders took his guarantees away and now he says he won't play.

 

It appears the Raiders hold the cards at this moment. They still have him under contract and owe him nothing unless he plays week to week. If he sits out...they don't send him a check. But they hold his rights. They could cut him just to be done with it...they could try to trade him for a late round pick.....I am sure there is one GM out there going We will let him miss meetings as long as he sells tickets and shows up on Sundays. He may never play football again. Guess its good that he is more than just a football player.

The thing that's amazing about this whole soap opera is just how damn predictable it was.

Keeping/showing/playing tough with him just wasn't a reasonable option.

He was going to be someone's problem and the key was to make sure "someone" wasn't you. The Steelers and probably about 28 other teams knew that.

I'm not so sure. It wouldn't surprise me that someone takes a chance, but there's a difference between Gordon and Brown in that Gordon is an addict, but Brown is a cancer. Gordon is a risk to sign, Brown is a risk to the entire locker room.
