Le’Veon Bell: I’m going to show people Pittsburgh let

    something special go

Running back Le'Veon Bell last played in a game when the Steelers lost to the Jaguars in a playoff game on January 14, 2018 and his long absence from the playing field is set to end this Sunday when the Jets host the Bills to kick off the 2019 season.

Bell didn’t play last season because he didn’t come to an agreement with the Steelers on a long-term contract and wasn’t willing to play out a second straight year under the terms of the franchise tag. Bell’s on the Jets now and he said he’s going to show the Steelers that they made a mistake in letting him go.

    What an idiot

Sorry the Steelers didn't bow down and throw rose pedals at your feet, LB.

They didn't count on you being a greedy delusional snot nose punk.

He could rush for 3,000 yards and score 50 touchdowns and it still not be a mistake letting him go. James Connor gets 85% of the production for 1/28 the price.

Sitting out was the BEST thing that could have happened. It showed that he's not worth the money. Just think if he would have signed that contract. Pittsburgh would be stuck with him.

The Jets are paying him less than what he would have got from Pittsburgh.

I can see why Bell thinks it was a mistake for the Steelers not to force him to stay.

I didn't know that placing a guy on a franchise tag meant you didn't want them anymore...

    Who knew?!?

Too bad we have to wait till end of season to play him. I'm sure he'll be hurt or disgruntled by then.

I will say this, AB and LB will make me follow players very close on other teams which I never do.

Is it not the case that the better he plays the better the compensatory pick the Steelers get? If so, I hope he balls out. I bear him no ill will in any case.

Still wouldn’t take him back at anywhere near the money he wanted

Oh, he is definitely special, just not $15-$17 million a year special. And as free agency showed, every other team in the league seems to think so too.

He better be careful with the tweets this season. He starts tweeting "the juice is loose" again he might meet OJ in a lonely New York alley and get stabbed. There is only one juice and he doesn't tolerate imposters

May his football career be just as successful as his Rap career.

He's not very bright if he can't see at this stage of his life he's already down about 12 mil from where he could have been. Sometimes, you just can't fix stupid.

He is a RUNNING BACK. That's it. Why is this not in the General Football Talk? So far from Steelers Talk. Enough with him and the spoiled child in jokeland. But let's keep talking about these two? Drama queens.

He cost himself a ton of money, and ran himself out of town for a lesser contract to a bad team. Someone is losing sleep over this, but it won't be Pittsburgh.

This link estimates the compensatory picks for each team next year due to loss/gain of FA's. Another of their pages shows signings that cancel out losses. For instance signing Nelson cancels out the loss of James. I do not know the ins and outs of how they calculate, but this site indicates we should get a 3rd for the loss of Bell.. Regardless of how he plays as 3rd is the highest that can awarded.
