That one play during the Titans game showed what he was all about. Blew up the tackle and TE and forced them into the backfield disrupting the play. IF VWill could do that after 4 yrs I wouldn't mind that he jumps his first gap.

That's a strange signing I didn't think the Wile one was doing to poorly for them although they were flirting with a kicker/punter in one for some strange reason.

Be stunned if he doesn't land somewhere. Odd man out in a crowded WR group.

I think he has game, that team is not going anywhere, so perhaps he might actually shine through all the darkness.

Jeez, I would have kept Eli over Switzer.

I called Switzer over Eli. But I would have kept Spencer over Chick or Red. I think both of them were out performed by the rookies.

I just think it is a mistake, Switzer doesn’t give you much in the return game, and not much in offense yards per attempt. Eli can line up in slot and run every route decently, and can find the open zone to sit in.

I’d feel better about the move if Washington was more developed, but right now you can not totally trust him to not make any mental errors.

The best trait about Switzer is that his hands are reliable. He'll run his route, be where he's suppose to be, & catch the ball ...maybe not give you much in yards after catch. From my memory Eli had problems with drops in the slot & special teams. Diontae Spencer was far more prolific on special teams than both guys, but was non-existent as a WR. Ben likes Switzer better than Eli ...I think that was the deciding factor

Essentially, Spencer was the best return man but would give the least as a return man. Eli was the best receiver of the 3 but probably gave the least as a return specialist.

Switzer was the most balanced. A good receiver and good enough on returns. Tomlin does maintain pretty consistent when it comes to versatility.

Switzer was the right move. I think you’ll see the WiFi connection with him and Ben this season. Ben wants he and Switzer to be like Brady and Edelman.

Edelman is a tough guy to tackle, he’s a lot like Hines was. Switzer, isn’t beasting anyone over.

Agreed. Edelman is a lot better after the catch than Switzer.

They actually might be a good fit for Eli to get his game back after missing most of
last year. The Dolphins are shooting for top QB in draft next year. Might be the worst team in league?

I doubt Switzer ever gets to Edelman's level. Downright unlikely. But Edelman took like 5 years to become the player he is now.

Switzer dreams at night of being Edelman. Edelman is a pretty big/ solid guy. Switzer is maxed out. Switzer is a security blanket. Edelman is someone you have to game plan to stop.IMO

Cuts are always tough but this year I think they were fairly close to my thoughts with few exceptions:

Too bad we couldn't keep Spencer for returns but they'll go with the sure hands of experience in Switzer. Awright.
Same with Dobbs, he'll be out next year but they'll keep that experience as back up one more year. I would've moved Hodges into the third and shopped Dobbs for what little I could get, if anything. It's time for him to move onto his life's work.
They have a great group of WRs and get to keep Holton in reserves from the PS instead of Eli. <Clapping>
They dealt Hawkins for a pick. We were going to cut him anyways. Brilliant.
    Skipper made it. Love it!
They signed Haden! It was the Hilton-Haden show that saved our arses last year and Haden makes Artie look better.
With Joe locked they'll now look for a TE, yes?

Have to say, I like where the D is going with speed both up front, and dare I say it, in the secondary.

Part of the excitement this season is how fast our team look ...primary & secondary. The secondary depth give you that piece of mind. Our LB core is awesome with Adiniyi, Skipper, Williams, & Gilbert. With Kelly looking legit, Burns not sucking yet & Layne playing much better ...potential to be special on D

Both are good points. I hadn't realized that Edelman didn't do much his first four seasons.
