    Anybody think there's a chance we keep Hodges? To me keeping Dobbs and demoting him from backup to 3rd string just doesn't make sense. Although Charlie Batch was ok with it I guess.

    The Raiders cut Luke Willson Friday. He might be a good option as a reserve tight end.

    We have to let Matakevich go. His ceiling as a good special teams player has been reached. We need someone who can do that without being a liability when he has to take significant snaps on defense. He is the kind of player that would work well on the Patriots, where they only ask them to play within themselves and just do their job. Our style of defense requires Matakevich to be something he is not and will most likely never be. It is time to move on and give someone else a shot. Gilbert is the obvious choice to replace him.

    I really like Spencer. Game-breaking speed seems to work well for the Chiefs plus we would have a dedicated return specialist. I suppose this means Holton will make the 53. I am satisfied with that.

    I agree. I like Switzer and he is reliable, but nearly every time Spencer touched the ball there was a belief he could take it home.
