Because he has been outplayed by other players.

Why would anybody trade for Brian Allen? I'm not sure I see value in Dobbs, either, but maybe somebody will fall for the temptation of the running quarterback.

I like Hodges, too. Obviously, I don't think much of Dobbs. I think Dobbs should be the one to go, but I'm afraid they are going to cut Hodges instead.

Dupree looked very good last night. Most importantly, he got around the left tackle and turned the corner quickly for a sack, the kind of play you usually saw him running right on by as the quarterback stepped up in the past. If he can do more of that this season, he might actually be good at his job.

They seem to think Hilton is too small to be a regular at safety. He looked terrible in coverage last night. He also struggled in coverage much of last season. The flashy plays are nice, but a nickel corner has to be able to cover.

Hilton looks downright scary-bad in downfield coverage right now. Guys going vertical get 3 steps on him without even trying. He looks a few steps slower than he did 2 years ago.

It isn't a new thing, either. He had issues in coverage last year, too. Teams have adjusted to lessen the effectiveness of his blitzing from the slot and his play has regressed.

I just got to watch the second half. I really like what I saw of Diontae Johnson. Clearly, the offensive pass interference call was terrible. Then again, the touchdown that did count could have easily gone the other way. He did bobble it and it's tough to tell if he had control again by the time the ball touched the ground. That said, he made some plays. That's what a guy destined to make the roster should do against the type of scrubs on the field in the fourth quarter of a preseason game, but it was definitely a positive.

On the Dobbs interception did Johnson alligator arm it or did he realize it was over his head and probably meant for someone else so he pulled his arm in and protected himself?

As they said on SNR he's small and slow. It was either him or Sutton that got beat for that TD.

They can certainly try, but I think the expectations need to be more realistic. I don't think any team is trading for a package of three or four players at this stage.

Why not? KColbert has traded for many of players in preseason.. Do you know the roster
depth of the other 31 teams in the league?

You guys watched a different game then I did. We were the team in black you know. Yes he got beat on the TD but stumbled at first while guarding a burner. He also was responsible for two forced fumbles. He was a beast at free safety later in the game. They gave up one TD to the kc chiefs, that's a pretty good night.

It was Hilton, but it was in man coverage while playing nickel corner, not when he was playing free safety. His size is definitely a limiting factor at free safety, but I do think he played well there vs KC from what I’ve watched so far (I still have yet to watch the 4th quarter).

Please find us one example of a team this far into the preseason trading for three or more players.

He was better at safety than he was at corner. He was never great in man-to-man coverage. Either teams figured that out last season or he simply got worse.

One more thing on Hilton getting beat for a TD: I’m wondering if Davis had culpability as well. He was very slow in diagnosing and helping. He appeared to me to be focused on the TE coming up the seam, and didn’t recognize that there was another receiver headed into his deep zone. I only had time to watch the replay a couple of times, but that struck me as a factor in that play being an easy TD. That’s not to say that I don’t think Hilton was culpable, but just that he may not have been the only one.

    Not in K. Butler's scheme. That's a linebackers role.

If that was the case, what is his excuse this preseason?
