    Those are the old ones.
I'm sure the new ones (white with extra-long wrap-around sleeves) sell for more.

I don't know if this was mentioned but AB painting his old Steeler helmet with Black and Silver to try to get by the helmet thing tells me the guy's brain is flat out fried.

Buckwheat made it to 49 years old, I'll bet AB doesn't make it that far.

My Raider friend informed me today he has purchased his AB Raider jersey. I'm ashamed for him since they will be hanging next to Biletnikoff, Blanda, Stabler, and Guy in his man cave. Total insult to those Raider greats.

I'm the one thinking of the long term, that the Steelers have shown a star player can get them to cave just by throwing a tantrum.

No, that's the narrative you keep harboring here.

They traded Brown for pennies on the dollar. They caved. Even if he turns out to be a disaster in Oakland, they still caved because they didn't get fair value for him.

Brown got his money, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if he turns out to be a failure in Oakland. That doesn't mean he would have been a failure in Pittsburgh while playing under the contract he had with the Steelers. We will never know what would have happened if the Steelers done the smart thing and stood their ground, so how exactly will I be proven wrong?

Fair value? If Devin Bush turns out to be the player that the last guy that they traded up in the first round to get, Troy Polamalu was, then they DID get fair value for him. Doubly so if he's part of a defense that gets them a championship. As I have said before, a lot remains to be seen.

If you think that if the Steelers would have stood their ground and AB would've caved and been a good citizen, not causing any disruptions in the locker room or to the media, then there's no help for you and you're not being honest.

No, you have a silly habit of not admitting when you are wrong. I admire your conviction though, but you're definitely going down with the ship on this one.

What is fair value on a disaster?

    That’s the point.
They didn’t get fair value on the player he used to be, but at least so far it looks like they got more than fair on the player he is now.

I'm not biting into this debate with you again. You've got you're opinion; I respect it. Dont agree that you're "right", but it's not really about that for me.

So no need to debate the issue any further..

I never said Brown would be a good citizen and not cause any distractions. Please don't make things up and attribute them to me. It is dishonest.

I did say that there was a good chance he would have caved and played. The distractions come with the package, but so does the talent.

Please do explain how I can be proven wrong given that we won't ever know what Brown would have done if he had remained a Steeler.

The Steelers had the picks to trade up for Bush without that trade. They didn't have to trade Brown to get Bush. If you want to buy into the narrative the team sold to cover its failure with Brown, you are welcome to do so. I know better.

How exactly are you right? Using your own parameters to judge if the Steelers lost or AB won is subjective. Yes the points you make are valid but you're failing to incorporate all the variables involved. All we can hypothesize on now is was it the right choice to move on from AB. My opinion is yes. Your argument of not "caving" to his demands will be much harder to prove if the Steelers don't have much of a drop of offensive production this year. That scenario is in the wheelhouse.

AB reminds me of the saying, "you can't make this **** up".

Look forward to Tuesday night on HBO. Hard Knocks with the Raiders. AB should be on it. Of course Rocky on ESPN has priority for sure.
