Steelers will be playing catch-up all year. I can see Ben tossing a lot of INTs... like Favre did when he tried to do too much.

    That's logical. o_O
Ben should throw zero int's this season, since he doesn't have to appease AB anymore.

Carr will have to force some throws every game this year.

Why will they be playing catch up all year? Their offense will still be good, and the defense should be improved.

Yes... because I'm not convinced Steelers won't be 0-3 going into late September. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Patriots... nothing needs to be said. Seahawks... Carroll vs. Tomlin? HAHAHAHAHA. At 49ers in Frisco after all of the west coast and mountain time debacles we've witnessed over the years?

true. History dictates we start slow, but so do patriots. History also dictates Ben has never beaten Brady at NE and NE never seem to ever freaking stop being good so yeah, 0-1 is possible. Seahawks i see us beating them. We have yet to beat wilson but only have played him once at seattle, and seattle has regressed. Team bounces back from the week before. which leaves the next game, definitely highly likely we lay a turd in san fran as like you said we are terrible on west coast trips, and it's not primetime. 1-2 is my take to start the season at the worst.

this is given the past drama led offense with no defense though. Who knows we may have some leaders such as JC, JUJU, Watt, Bush that can right this ship. The only drama queen is the one who will be on the sidelines looking at pics on his phone whispering "ab... ab".

    "Ben! you're up!"

The Seahawks aren't that good, weak OL and average at the skill positions, they win this game easily.

Only because Ben got hurt in that game, Dobbs was garbage, and Boswell missed a FG.

I'm hoping that Ben will settle down his gunslinger mentality a bit and play a bit more close to the vest with all the weapons at his disposal. I feel he will spread the ball around more not having to appease any one receiver. As far as how many picks who the hell knows. My hope is 10 or less.

HeinzMustard and Steelersrule6 I am going to enjoy you two all season long. Since Heinz won the Prediction Poll last season and has been right about more then a few things I tend to agree with him but even he hopes he is wrong about the Steelers.

Kind of like me with the Pirates, I know they will suck but always hope to be wrong.

The Steelers are an average team, until they prove otherwise. If they were elite, they wouldn't have lost to the Raiders, Broncos, Chargers and tied the Browns last year. The ceiling is 9-7... floor is 6-10, IMO. 7-9 sounds about right to me.

Baseball needs a salary cap. That's the only way the Pirates will ever compete.

Don't get carried away, Heinz predicts the same thing every year, sooner or later he is bound to be right.

It's like predicting rain every day :lolol:

Have no idea if not having AB around will make his Int's go down but it's amusing that people don't think having a whiny intolerable child in your ear all game doesn't affect your mentality. He definitely forced the ball to him, how many interceptions that may have led too, who knows.

Exactly. We were supposed to miss the playoffs when we ended up being 11-5 and 13-3. Last year was the aberration, not the norm.

An equally good question is: Ben's o/u on TD passes this season. He had 34 last yr, with 15 going to
    he-who-can't-be-named.

I'll go with 25. Again he'll throw less, because he can hardly throw more.

Give me a break. That dude predicts the same doom and gloom every season and apparently he finally got one right. Big deal. He's still a terrible fan.

Barring injuries, Steelers can play power football
and wear teams out if #7 will let it happen. When #7 throws 35 passes or less
the Steelers winning percentage rises. Isn't it about winning and not stats Ben?

    Ben will throw
That is not a good stat to throw on Ben's shoulders. I doubt he throws 35+ passes a game unless it is needed. Maybe if the defense could get off the field every now & then helping Ben stay under 35 pass attempts?
