Who are you most excited for? Do you feel there is promise with any of them or are they trash?

Been hearing mixed reviews in camp. Mason is more accurate than dobbs, but struggling moving the ball. Dobbs is trash but he is trash in style. Hodges looks like he can be a diamond in the rough, but I would not put too much stock in that. Either way it looks like it will be a competitive battle and if Ben seriously goes down we are screwed regardless.

I was rooting for Mason last year but at this point I root for anyone that makes the team better.

I was at practice yesterday and Hodges was really impressive. I didn't know that he was college football's all time leading passer until I read his bio.

This battle will come down to the wire. That being said, Devlin Hodges is making one heck of a case thus far. Should he do well enough in preseason action in addition to Joshua not doing well enough, that is going to set up quite the decision for Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin.

You never know I've seen a lot of back up quarterbacks get hurt int he pre-season. I can remember Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwhich both getting hurt and being out a lot of time.

For Dobbs sake I hope he does not. That would not bode well for him. He needs all the time he can acquire.

To be honest I never heard of Stamford or Hodges but after reading about him I want him to be a Steeler. I like the attitude and confidence he has in himself.

Is there a chance I'll get to see him play Friday night??? Generally the first pre-season game doesn't get me fired up but I will be watching and loved to see how this kid does.

After his performance at camp yesterday and Dobbs having a spotty showing, I overheard a couple of guys beside me speculating that the Steelers could trade or release Dobbs and put Hodges on the practice squad and start the season with Ben and Rudolph. Of course this is way too early to make that call with 4 pre-season games to play.

If Hodges is as good as he has been in practice, it should at least make the end of the preseason games more interesting lol

Hodges has shown during the 7 on 7 drills and during practice where he isn't allowed to be sacked that he can really zing the ball around. I'm waiting to see what he can do during live action when he's under pressure.

Doesn't Lord 6-Rings have a low YPC, too? Super Bowls can obviously be won with low YPC numbers. Obviously.

Would be very doubtful. I've never seen the Steelers especially with Tomlin, not keep 3 active Qb's on the 53 man roster.
It's a big risk leaving your QB3 on a practice squad, especially if he shown something. Practice squad guys can be on another active NFL roster in the blink of an eye.

haha i don't think dobbs has the "it" factor but nothing from Mason has really stood out yet. Seems Mason is more accurate but conservative, and dobbs is wild but can hit the homerun plays.

preseason will be interesting for sure....

If Mason lights up preseason, Ben will sign an extension for 20 years and throw for 6k yards and 50 tds this season lol.

Focus needs to be put on Rudolph, cut the bs already. Dobbs doesn’t, didn’t, and never will have starting potential. mason does. He has the talent to adapt to the pros. Throw him in behind Ben.

My prediction is that Hodges will be this year's Josh Dobbs and Dobbs will be this year's Landry Jones.

I watched the Raiders game last night when Dobbs played to see how bad it was and I left feeling like Dobbs did not do that badly, his stats might have been terrible but it gave me confidence oddly enough, looking forward to tomorrow night, (I have NFL.com game pass)
