AFC is too competitive?! Interesting take. As I see it, this conference could not be more wide open for the taking even if it was a black hole.

For that matter, the defense has declined you say?! That is what generally happens when an up and coming superstar has his career reduced due to unforseen circumstances. Prior to Ryan's demise, this defense was on the rise. Ever since he went down, it has not been the same.

Enter Devin Bush Jr. He may not be Shazier, but I do not want him too. I want him to be the best verison of himself. Upon doing so, this defense will see an improvement. How much so depends on his performance week in and out.

The defense took a huge step back when Shazier went down. Prior to that it had done nothing but improve under Butler. Since the drop with the Shazier injury, the defense has again been improving. I expect it to be better this year than last year.

Devin Bush doesn't have the skill set of Shazier. Shazier's game was all about speed... sideline to sideline. Bush could be better than Shazier... we'll see. Bush could be better vs. run than Shazier, even though people are saying he is undersized. Farrior was undersized too... and he was one helluva an ILB. Farrior would lay waste to opposing RBs. It was beautiful.

Steelers don't need Bush to be the next Shazier. The next Kirkland, Bell, Farrior or Timmons would do nicely.

Agree about him not being the next Shazier. Strongly disagree about the rest. That would be counter intuitive. For that matter, a step backwards.

Devin Bush has to te the best version of himself. Imitating others accomplishes very little in the long run. Just ask Joe Mixon on attempting to imitate Le'Veon Bell in his rookie season. Did not work out.

Agree 100%. IMO the AFC North is weak so maybe (big maybe) we can sneak in at 9-7??????

The Steelers roster is equal to all those teams you listed, I like their chances against those teams. With the additions of Bush, Edmunds, the defense will continue to improve.

A healthy Fournette puts the Jags as a home playoff team imo.

How many examples/years does MT have to show some of you before you realize what a fraud he is?
