He played in only 43.6% of the snap counts and recorded 49 tackles and 6.5 sacks. Dude is a monster

I still think he could do even better late in games with another good DT substituting in. Hopefully Buggs can be that guy. O-lineman would have their hands full after battling two effective guys all game.

He's not bad. The issue is Heyward and Tuitt not producing the type of numbers for their cap hit.

They need to cut him loose, he could be devastating if given opportunity.

If Buggs can somehow be what we all hope he is I d love to see them mix in a four man front once in a while.

Wish Dupree had those sack ratio to playing time. He might even be better then Dupree at Outside linebacker....lol

McCullers being on this roster is the greatest mystery since Big bud starting over Ola

I can't imagine how anyone could expect more from Heyward. Dude is a stud and has absolutely lived up to his contract.

Where was he vs. Jax at Heinz Field in January '18?

Sorry, but the D-line is average at best. They seem to be above average when Hargrave is on the field.

Summing up Hayward's career based on one game or a handful of games? Brilliant!!!!!

A big part of that was T J Watt giving up third and long runs to his side.

You said he wasn't putting up the numbers. He has 20 sacks the last two years. When was the last time a Steelers defensive lineman did that? I expect around 10 this year as well if he stays healthy. Dude has delivered on his contract.

It's nice when they show up when it counts though. Ala R. White, L. Taylor, etc.

He disappears in big games and he's not the only one.

Every game counts. There are always a lot of factors involved. Heyward could had played a good game and you might not even realize it because other players failed to do their jobs.

Other players didn't always show up. We only recognize their contributions to the game because they played at a high level for a long period of time. Not simply one or a handful of games.

Not disputing any of your argument but that was a big game that we needed someone to step up on defense. Heyward didn't, as well as anyone else.

Tuitt is the overated one. he only plays when he wants too. Heyward has heart Tuitt does not.
Tuitt and Dupree are way overpaid. hopefully Adenai can unseat Dupree and we
trade Dupree and others for a top notch FS.

Better question; where was the whole team?! Pittsburgh did not lose due to one player. They lost due to the amount of collective execution and discipline showcased by the team that day; zero.
