One would think that the Bucs would be the worst .But then again, they don't have a fan base, at least not here in Tampa.

I'll give the Cowboys their due. The Giants get theirs just for size of market (the Jets don't really count). I think the Eagles and Pats are just a result of recent success. If the Pats have a few down years after Brady retires I do not think their fan base will stay top 5. Ultimately those people care more about the Sox.

Not to mention, the stadium gets absolutely insane noise-wise. That probably isn't a metric, but it should count.

Not surprised the Steelers ranked high when it comes to social media.

You're wrong about the Eagles, those fans are die hard. I have friends that are life long fans as their parents and grand parents were Eagles fans. They also have children and grand children of their own that are now Eagles fans and while I don't like the Eagles you are dead wrong about them being bandwagon fans, trust me, I live around enough of them to know.

Agree. The problem is that he’s using quantitative business metrics only - so it’s about relative market activity rather than the more qualitative things we’d likely recognise as making a fan base good on the ground.

Eagles my ass!! I live among them and have been to games where they kicked blow up dolls of their coaches all over the stadium. Their fan base bitched and moan all those years with McNabb under center because he didn't win the big one. For many years you could see more Steeler jerseys then Eagle ones here in South Jersey. Their recent success is the reason for their ranking.

Eagles fans ***** as much or even more than we do but they don't get on and off the wagon based on success. That is what I meant, they didn't suddenly develop a fan base because of success, there fans have been with them for generations. They booed McNabb but they also bought his Jersey by the truckload and South Jersey may have a lot of Steeler fans but from Philly straight up 95 past Scranton Wilkes-Barre area you'll see 5 Eagles jerseys for every 1 Steeler jersey. I'm a minority in North East and Central PA.

Yeah remember when the Seahawks were breaking the noise level in the stadium and the KC fans broke that the following week?

They were talking on the radio this morning about best fans and they said the Clown fans...........now stop and think for a second how that sounds. Now look at it this way, since they came back in 99 what have they won? They change coaches, GM's, QB's almost every year they win little to no games a year and yet they still have fans! I can relate cause I am a Met fan and it sucks, but the clowns are the laughing stock and they come back every week.........That says something to me. With that said the Browns sux, go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve repeatedly given Browns fans credit. It’s easy to root for the Steelers and we are lucky. Browns fans have to root for the Browns.

And with that said, €>£# Cleveland.

Here in CA, I don’t see folks wearing Eagles & Giants jerseys. I rarely see Patriots. But I see plenty of STEELERS jerseys!

I will say this much, the "fans" who sit around me now aren't the same caliber as the ones who sat around me at three rivers. Maybe it's a generational thing?

This is correct. I have lived in KC for 25 years and they love their Chiefs. Go to Arrowhead and it's so fuggin' loud it's painful.

Good call. And the fans in the Dog Pound are rabid, like the Bleacher Creatures at Yankee Stadium. Well, old Yankee Stadium anyway.

They are drunk for most of the game as well. When you have to make up a mascot because your team was named after a coach, you will have to drink and be rabid. A dog has nothing to do with the browns. They win a game and go into their basement and dig out their t-shirt they put away 20 years ago and call themselves loyal fans. I remember two years ago Brown's tickets were going for 10 bucks so they could put people in the seats.

Any report that has Eagles fans ranked highly in any category other than classless is not worth reading.
