Still holding out hope on LC Greenwood.

Donnie Shell was the reason I wore #31 whenever I played. Hope he gets some consideration

    It used to be Blast..

Then Faneca did not get in this year. Those two are more than deserving in their own right. Faneca got ROBBED this year.

Donnie Shell had 51 career interceptions, the most by a strong safety all time at the time of his retirement.
Of course he was most known for his huge hits on ball carriers. His hit on Earl Campbell was one of the most violent in NFL history. Donnie should have been in years ago.

Polamula likely gets in this year.
They'll likely hesitate putting 2 Steelers in the same year so Faneca will have to wait yet another year.
I doubt Shell or LC ever gets in.

I realize that fans from every team believe that they have players unfairly left out but just damn! We have 7 guys being ignored who really belong. We always talk about Faneca, LC, and Shell but Andy Russell, Hines Ward, Gary Anderson, and Carnell Lake all belong.

LC and Shell will finally get in now.
Faneca and Troy probably this year. Ward will wait for awhile and hopefully they remember him. The rest probably just the ring of honor at heinz

Besides Polamalu... Faneca is the most deserving, IMO. It's a shame it's taking so long for him to get in. Faneca was the best guard in the AFC for many years and arguably the best guard in the entire NFL in his prime. Guard is simply not a glamorous position for HOF.

I couldn't care less if Faneca was inducted into the hall of fame, to me this is the kind of mind set he had as a player, in his words about his rookie QB, Big Ben. This is Faneca's quote about Ben as a rookie QB when he was asked if he was excited about Ben as a team member ..........."Exciting?" Faneca replied to a question with disbelief in his voice, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. "No, it's not exciting. Do you want to go work with some little young kid who's just out of college.

So what. Faneca said that long before the team went 15-1. Nobody expected Roethlisberger to start in '04... much less provide 14 wins his rookie year.

I was just going to post this, hopefully Faneca will not have to wait till he is in his late 70's.

You think one quote about a rookie should keep arguably the best guard of his generation, and one the best all time out if the HOF? I would say that comment from an all pro just might have made Ben a better player, motivation and putting a chip on your shoulder to prove others wrong can influence someone greatly.

Won't be any Steelers after Troy until Ben and Cowher. Sorry folks. Even my name sake won't make it.

And Roethlisberger basically says the same thing to the rookies now.

He did about Mason but thats not his usual style. That was a little different though, Mason was drafted to replace him.

Regardless, Faneca belongs in the HOF.

By the way, the Hall of Fame needs
I agree on Faneca deserving of the HOF, along with Shell and LC. I am a Roethlisberger fan, but he also gave James Washington the brush off because of his association with Rudolph. Roethlisberger has taken a lot of shots from others this offseason, which I felt were undeserved. Almost every player who has played with Roethlisberger over the past 15 years could cut their paycheck in half, if he hadn't been their QB.
