Kid's got quite a resume if this whole football thing doesn't work out.

    Cool

He gets a jet. My first flight in a military aircraft was in a 1942 open cockpit Stearman biplane.

I remember telling them this flying thing would never catch on.

    I may have been mistaken.

You got your timeline wrong. Jeh was part of Icarus’ ground crew. It didn’t work out as well as Wilbur and Orville.

Yeah, I don't think Dobbs will have any trouble making a living after football.

I just don't see Dobbs being anything more than a back_up QB in the NFL. If he loves football enough to stick around, I hope he proves me wrong.

I’m thinking he loves the $645,000 salary enough to stick around?

For now I guess. I can see him getting bored being a backup & moving on to NASA to plan the Mars landing.

I know right. Hey Jim, why don't you put your money in these new computer thingies. They go by Apple. Apple, I says, that will never catch on, you eat apples, don't compute with them. Nope, my money is going into Pintos. Everyone will be driving small cars, and that horse will be leading the way. Stupid horses anyhow!

just like filling your pinto with Apple's or Josh hitting a planet crossing the sky or a receiver crossing the field all could end in a firey crash.

There's few things in life I'd rather do than play in the NHL/NFL, but being a fighter pilot is one of those things. That's bad ass. Good for him

My brother wound up being a fighter pilot in a very odd way. When he was in his teens, he got a pilots license flying Cessnas. When he went to college his school had a plane and needed an occasional extra pilot. So he logged hours. Since he like planes he joined the Air Guard, but not as a pilot, as another function. When the air guard did practice or ferried A-7s, and since he had some hours, they would let him fly from the back seat when it was empty. So he logged hours. A lot of hours. They decided since had a lot of hours in the back he should get some hours in the front. So he logged more hours. Prior to the gulf war, under his normal position he was sent to the Middle East to help set up for the war. 2 days prior to the war he packed up and was heading home. Someone came up to him and reminded him he had a lot of hours as a pilot and they really didn’t care if that wasn’t his job. He was invited to join the war and flew a bunch of missions. When he came back, and he still wasn’t listed as a pilot, they asked him one day if he wanted to go to F16 school. He did. He got to fly fighter jets.

    Go Yinz Stiller’s n’ at

His best bet would be to land a back up job in Seattle. He'd make a ton of connections living there full time since the aerospace industry is so big in that area.

He is a swell guy and terrific person and will be successful
in probably anything he does after his football career is over.
His accuracy and arm strength and being able to read defenses quicker
will have to improve to be a success in football.
