TJ might encroach on his big brother J.J. as the better Watt this year.

I love how he says he will be more comfortable on the left side now that he has a year under his belt. If last year was uncomfortable for him his numbers might reach the 20's

I might settle for making FG's and holding onto the football.

....and what a difference that would have made last season. Good call Blast. Mere tweaks, not reinvention. Like some famous person once said, "piece of cake". ;)

And with this post, I jinxed The Nightmare - he just blew his first save of 2019 in that incredible game against the Brewers yesterday afternoon. Had he closed it out, it would have been one of the all time greatest wins for the Buccos - almost reminiscent of the 1960 Game 7 WS against Yanks - but alas, close, but no cigar.

As an avid Pirate fan I think "The Nightmare" is the entire organization. Don't know if you are a fan of the Pirates but this season they are using a triple A pitching staff. Injuries have hurt big time yet they somehow stay close to .500.

Longer than most here have been alive. I remember $1 left field bleacher seats at Forbes Field! I absolutely love their dynamic and versatile batting lineup this year (excluding pitching obviously). Reminds me of the early 90's teams as far as raw talent and hitting for average. I have no idea how they are going to fit Corey Dickerson back into the shuffle with the way Melky and Reynolds are playing. Also looks like Osuna will again be odd man out and has to be running out of options as often as he has been moved in and out of the majors. As they always say, what a great problem to have. A minor irony is that one of my favorites, Adam Frasier is having a mediocre year so far and has the lowest BA of the starters. I saw some speculation that Pirates may look at trading Marte for some pitching but that's a difficult glove and arm to replace in center in spite of Marte's oft brain farts in so many aspects of the game.

After two horrid series against the Brewfarts, can't believe this is the same team that swept them in a rare 5 game series last year just before the All Star game. Just shows that pitching is more important than offense, which they were so tight last year but awful this year. Now watch just released underachiever Nick Kingham follow the path to success that Charley Morton, Gerrit Cole and Tyler Glasnow stumbled upon, granted Glasnow is on IR right now but was lights out first 2 months of the season. Can't say same for Cutch, Josh Harrison and Jordy Mercer who are all on IR or out for season. And there's Austin Meadows leading the AL in batting right now. So crazy.
