Dupree doesn't need to back anything up. The money is already spent, that's not his fault.

Did Kaboly actually tweet that about Dupree? I haven't seen that one. All I saw was a tweet in which he wrote that he prefers "fat ass."

Thanks for resurrecting that so i could see exactly what was said. Despite my level of disgust with how totally ignorant BD comes across(*), i gotta say I agree with him calling out FatBoy/FatAss MK... total f-ing click bait... he is TOTALLY stirring the pot. I would *not* call that friendly banter... and again, I would be inclined to do the same thing... if I was a player (who was not a Diva) I would be pretty sick of all this BS.

(*) Soap box rant: Twitter == Death of thoughtful dialog... IMO it should be shut down because it ERODES the intent of the first amendment

Kaboly is a bad reporter. Bud is a bad pass rusher.

    It's a wash.

Steelers should institute a new rule. Until you make All -Pro or top 5 at your position. You should STFU....

I know it hasn’t. That’s why it would be a new rule.

The allpros & top 5 on the Steelers are the biggest drama queens in the locker room. They should STFU and lead imo.

You know the whole social media think is such an interesting study in personal freedom. The company I work for employs over 6 people full time to just watch Facebook and make sure that employees aren't posting anything harmful to the company. When my wife did direct sales (31 bags and Perfectly Posh) she had business pages linked to her profile page and had to warn ppl that she could potentially lose her company membership if they felt her personal posts cast the company in a less than stellar light. It is a grey area where regulation really needs exploring.

They are professional athletes not bums like me. They don’t want to just take a check and deposit it. If they gave you $9mm wouldn’t you want to prove to people you deserved it?

So the drama ended with Brown and Bell? The head coach will submit as usual. Their are other organizations that you don't here a peep on social media from players.

I can only hope that Dupree is traded. We will see another year of lackluster play. I don't understand why they gave him 9.2 on a fifth year when it wasn't justified. We have seen what he brings, no reason to go over it. It's not going to get any better. Personally I feel that again a mistake was made and Colbert is just trying to save face. Hopefully Ola takes a positive step forward.

My wife and I entertain a lot, we have a place in the country that is good for that. Some people let loose out here. A friend of a friend thought she had some right to post “funny” pictures of guests on her social media pages. We had to get quite forcefully to prevent her. She is not welcome back.

Plus, she didn’t like the Steelers.

This is where "personal freedom" or "1st amendment" gets misconstrued. Nobody is taking away your personal freedom if you lose a job over a social media post nor is your 1st amendment rights being trampled. Freedom of speech means you can't be arrested or punished by the government for anything you say, or now, post. Private companies fire people over that kind of thing because they feel it could hurt their bottom line.

It is why you see a lot of stores with signs that say "season's greetings" or Happy Holidays rather than "Merry Christmas". So your wife doesn't have to worry about police or G-men, she has the freedom to post whatever she wants but free from arrest doesn't mean free from consequences. I apologize if I took what you wrote out of context but I know a lot of people get angry when someone gets fired or losses a business when they posts something controversial but it has nothing to do with freedom, that is all private business that is to blame for that.

Bud Dupree's character has nothing to do with the fact that the money is spent no matter how he performs this season. The only thing I've seen of his character is: running his mouth about team mates, making stupid statements on social media and looting L bell's locker. I'm not holding out much hope that a cashed check will be his motivation this season.

Kaboly was totally stirring the pot. Juju's comment was not about AB.

I can't imagine anybody would trade for Dupree at this point. Most of us seem to agree he is overpaid and he is only under contract for this season.

I agree with you that this is a sign that the locker room hasn't been fixed after all.

No your point is correct people confuse freedom of speech with personal freedoms. They believe they have the right to say what they want with out the consequences.
