If WattWhack.3 makes 37 posts about how we could have got this guy in the 4th round, I’m going to agree with him 37 times.

I'm not going to doubt Colbert's record on drafting WRs.

But Johnson better be really good.

Yep, been brushing up on him, seems he flew under the radar among fans. Let's face it, even the most hardcore college/draft fans aren't going to be up on as many players as guys who's job is to spend every day 365 days a year to scout players.

I'd say his biggest concern is play strength at the next level. He's electric with the ball in his hands though.

They could have DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones. I could care less because they still have Lamar throwing them the ball

So this guy was obviously not on my radar. And it's not because he went to a small school. He's not like a guy like Anthony Miller from Memphis who went to Chicago last year in the 2nd. I was all over that guy.

The only reason I had even heard of him as PFF did list him as a top sleeper but even they had him as a Day 3 guy.

I just watched his Miami tape and here are some impressions:

    Plays slot and outside
    Lightning quick off the line
    Gets open quickly
Excellent at getting off press coverage
Had a QB that missed him wide open alot
Willing blocker but very poor at it

I still hate the pick but there's reasons why you can see the Steelers valued him so highly. He's not a deep threat. He's going to be a chain mover on 3rd down. Think of all those 3rd and 6s AB converted over the years.

Likely won't make a major impact in 2019.

Long term, hope you got this one right KC.

Can he gain 10-15 lb.s of muscle and keep his speed and agility?

I'll feel better about it then. Seems awfully skinny in the legs especially.

I mean, AB had doubters too, and he was drafted much later. Then again, AB took a couple years before he really became AB. I really don't expect this to be an instant return pick. Over time? I wish the kid the best of luck.

Yea Lamar is no Brady, thank God for that too, but for now it look like he has potential weapons on paper. Considering how good the Ratbird's ground game is ...hope we're not forced to stack the box

This might be ignorant but the Ravens aren't even on the radar for me with Lamar jackson..thats how little respect I have for him as an actual qb.. It's all about the browns and keeping those up and coming big mouths at bay

Don’t know much about him. But after hearing coach Drake talk about him, I’m sold. Seems like a very explosive player that many nfl personnel loved and was not gonna last much longer on board. Go Steelers
