Here's his draft guide. He had a 2nd rd grade on Layne.

I'm beginning to think that in 2-3 years, we'll look back at this draft as either one of the best drafts we ever had... or one of the worst.

Not a lot of room in the middle.

I hope it's the first option.

Agreed. KC swinging for the fences, however, I don't think he had to, and we still could have had a great draft.

How badly do they want Johnson to be the next AB. They better be right.

I think they also gambled on him because of his return capability.

To me though I feel we need a field stretcher, maybe a big guy like Martavis Bryant. Having a wr like that would take the pressure off the offense to force throws.

I really wish we could have gotten an olb. I don’t feel good about leaving Bud with no real competition.

Come on man don't you have any faith in our ability to develop CBs? I mean just look at Brian Allen. He was a former WR and look how he has progressed.......oh wait nevermind.

Allen was a total project. Layne is light years ahead of where Allen was at this point.

This x100. Layne is far more developed than Brian was. In addition, Brian was 23 coming out. This guy is 21. Immense upside for certain.

Me and @mac daddyo stated this should have happened after his first season. There was discussion of it during the 2018 offseason but that never materialized. It seems to be in motion now.

Check out this year's depth chart. Look where Brian Allen is now.

What are the issues with Alabama safety Diontae Thompson and the three-name safety from Florida?

Why are they still a available?

Both are deep half, deep third free safety types aren’t they?

No idea on Chauncey Gardner Johnson. Had to be something medical or in interviews. Something we dont know about. He was too good on the field and too great at the combine. Great production. Bowl game MVP.

Makes no sense. I've seen interviews with him. A little cocky on the field but humble off it.

As for Thompson, I still like him, but he looked list vs Clemson in national title game.

And there goes CGJ. Saints move up to get him. Great pick.

Most thought Pratt would go in the second round or later.

I think the Ravens just like making picks that annoy the average Steelers fan
