I find the right side skew of the results to be interesting. I would have thought the majority would be in the 20-30 year range?

Maybe the old timers are more dedicated in the off season.

Didn't really follow one team when I was a kid. Back when there were nicknames for the best defensive lines and defense ruled the game. When Joe was maybe in his second year I was watching a game the Steelers were in, don't even remember who they were playing.
You could not watch a Steelers game and not notice this Joe Greene guy he was a beast slashing into the backfield throwing centers and guards aside like rag dolls.

I loved the way he played with an edge and nasty attitude the Steelers were building something and I jumped on that bandwagon and have been a fan ever since.

The Friday before the SuperBowls, they had a sort of pep rally in the gym. (I got to wear my Mean Joe jersey.)

I was surprised how many Cowboy fans were living 40 min north of Pittsburgh. Thinking back, those kids should have been reported for abuse by their parents. :towel:

Yes but not a bad sight line in the whole stadium. I miss Pitt Stadium.

Did you ever make it to a Backyard Brawl at the Stadium? That place was loud and packed back in the days. I'm sorry I never got to see Dorsett or Marino play there. I was already catching games at the LA Coluseum and Rose Bowl way out west by that time - both very similar to Pitt Stadium with wooden benches with no backs.

I got to see both Dorsett and Marino, Curtis Martin so on and so on play at Pitt stadium, these young people don't realize how much talent came thru Pitt throughout
the years ,my God it was scary. I was at the Rose Bowl for the Superbowl when the Steelers beat the Rams back in 1979.

Mid to late 80's. My pops was a huge bears fan, but when i started playing flag football our coach was a die hard Steelers fan! Him and my dad became good buddies and we used to go over every Sunday for the games. He had Steelers memorabilia everywhere, and stories on end. Been a fan ever since!! Now the tradition carries on with my 6 year old!

They fooled me this past year. The 80s team had more heart.

True about 80's team... they did have more heart, but nowhere near the talent. Lipps, Merriweather, Cole... were good players.

I'm 33 will be 34 this summer. I think I really started paying attention right about when Bill Cowher came coach in 1992. So right around 7. But my family was Steelers fans so it was going to happen. But, I just didn't really pay attention to it before that point.

You're channeling your inner Bob Dylan JEH (made famous by Roger McGuinn/Byrds):

    "My Back Pages"

"Crimson flames tied through my ears
    Throwin' high and mighty traps
    Countless fire and flaming road
    Using ideas as my maps
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I
    Proud 'neath heated brow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
    I'm younger than that now."
