Take a shot in the dark here...any predictions on what other teams will do in the first round?

big trades or move ups? Unexpected picks?

I'll start it off...New England with their plethora of picks, move up for TE Noah Fant.

I agree 100% NE moves up for a TE, I keep reading the Lions want to trade out of the #8 pick and I am wondering if the Bungals will be interested since they have a lot of picks as well. Another team I feel could be in play is the Colts they have 2 second rounders and my want to make a move. I also think the Ravens want to jump us but don't have the fire power.

I seem to like the second rounders better almost every year lol. Indy is in a good spot.

I wonder if the Vrabel - Belicheat connection has NE jumping us at 19. I'm sure they know we could use a TE.

Yeah I am always that guy that says trade back but we are usually drafting in the late 20's. This draft is loaded so I have no problem trading back for top 50 picks.

NE will trade up for Hock or stay pat and pick Dexter Lawrence.

PIT will stand pat and draft N'Keal Harry

I haven't peeked at the QB class at all but Tom Tom is 42 this season. Any QB's they may target in the first?

Picking that late in the !st, I would say either Daniel Jones out of Duke or Ryan Finley from NC State. I'm not sure where Jones is supposed to go, but I think Finley is regarded as an early 2nd rounder. Finley has only had one visit though, and that was the Redskins.
Daniel Jones, though, did have a private visit with the Pats. Again not sure where he's projected.

Pittsburgh trades into the Top 10 to acquire one of the Devin's would be mine. Would detest this outcome entirely. That being said, I would not be surprised if Pittsburgh does. Another one is Pittsburgh standing pat and acquiring Darnell Savage Jr. with Murphy, Williams and Baker all still on the board. The Savage Jr. pick alone would buck some SERIOUSLY historic trends.

Biggest one?! Ed Oliver slips out of the Top 10 or is selected Top 5 overall. Why?! Too much Quinnen Williams hype and not enough Oliver. I believe that, while Williams is going to be good, Oliver has Year One All Pro Potential.

I did my first round mock last night and there were some players I had available at 20 that I didn't think otherwise would be and I didn't go crazy with picks 1-19. There will be some good talent left. That just furthers my feelings against trading up.

If certain players have been taken, Steelers will move down to aquire more
trade capital. To move back up in 2nd round. Remember just a prediction for fun.
These trades will leave the Steelers with 6 picks in the draft. They will use this draft capital on the players they want which will cost them the draft capital of ten down to 6.

If we end up with 6 picks, what positions do you see us taking with those 6 picks?

I would like to see us have 7 picks in the first 4 rounds. I don't know if we have the balls to do it, but I think we could if we really want to. We have 5....can we back into the 3rd this year? Could we then also get back into the 4th for an additional pick. I could see us moving next year's 3rd round pick and maybe our 5th this year to move back into this years 3rd round. That would be one. I have no idea how to get back into the 4th unless we really want to be aggressive.

Not with Barron signing, There is enough depth at ILB to get us through.

Our returning ILB depth is Bostic and Matakevich. Bostic started strong, but began fading around week 5 or 6 and was a less than serviceable player by year-end. Matakevich is a special teamer only. If he's playing meaningful defensive snaps, we've got issues. The best backup ILB on our roster may be Tegray Scales, but he's a guy who measured 6'0" 227 with a 4.77 40 time. I think we've all seen a lot of highly productive college LBs not make it in the NFL because they are too limited physically.

If the Steelers do decide to trade down in the first round this year, It would be a monumental moment if such a trade happened as the Steelers have made a first-round selection in every NFL Draft since 1968. The last time they traded away their first-round draft pick was in 1967
