This is a guy the Steelers should be interested in, a athletic ILB. I like him better than the smaller Devin Bush.

    Agree on Pratt > Bush.

I want to see more Lamar from Clemson too. I love his size but I do worry how much he was helped out by that terrific Dline at Clemson.

a lot. He missed tackles too. Pratt by far the better of the two.

Ray Fittipaldo wrote about him as someone to watch, under the radar type player. His list includes:

    Devin White
    Devin Bush
    Mack Wilson
    Germaine Pratt

White will obviously be gone, Bush should be available and Wilson and Pratt definitely. Pratt could be had in the second rd.

    Pratt!! Yes!!

One of my favorite players in the draft. Add the fact that he has played multiple positions during his tenure at the Wolfpack and it is likely he does receive, at worst, a Pro Day visit only. He is not just a good tackler but a good finisher as well.

Concur with NB about Tre Lamar albeit differently. He really needs to have a good combine. Mack Wilson just needs to show me a good vertical and broad jump. If the Vert. and Broad are over 35 and 10 ft. respectively, count me in. A sub 1.6 10 yard split is just icing to the cake.

North Carolina State's Germaine Pratt showed on Thursday. Pratt was clocked in at 20.4 mph during one play in particular, which was the fastest speed of any player on the North team the entire day — faster than any running back, wide receiver or defensive back. Pratt was a stat-sheet stuffer for NC State in 2018, finishing with 104 tackles (11 for a loss) and 6.5 sacks.

    Something I found.....
NC State LB Germaine Pratt was clocked at 20.4 mph at one point during Reese's Senior Bowl practices on Thursday.
Remarkably, Pratt posted the top speed of any player on the North team on Thursday, bettering skill-position talents such as Tony Pollard (20.1 mph) and Terry McLaurin (19.6 mph). The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder most notably showed off the jets in tracking down a streaking Dexter Williams at one point during practice. In a linebacking class which is somewhat top-heavy with the likes of Devin White, Devin Bush and Mack Wilson, Pratt makes for an intriguing Day 2 or early Day 3 selection. Especially if he can ace the remainder of the evaluating process. Testing is going to be key for him. Good to see evidence of raw speed on display early, though The Draft Network's Joe Marino cautioned in previewing the Senior Bowl that Pratt's "movement skills are modest" and that he is "tight in the lower half, which limits his range/burst."

this is what I noticed when I mentioned him in the ILB thread. Albeit a very small sample size and the games were from 2017. I'll have to check out the 2018 games for sure.

If he runs a 4.6 forty, the Steelers should run to the podium with their pick for Pratt . They really need a athletic sideline to sideline ILB, get VW off the field on third downs.

I am all in on Pratt. I think the Steelers are too. The Steelers just hired NC State's RB Coach. Like every football program everywhere, Backs on Backer drills are a huge part of a teams practice. Who else, in the NFL, would know Pratt better that newly hired Coach Eddie Faulkner? I am sure that isn't the only reason Faulkner was hired. I think the Steelers like Samuels a lot, and feel his former position coach can aide in his development. But if you are going to draft another NC State player in this draft, having a familiar face on the coaching staff makes some sense.

One red flag I noticed in researching Pratt. I can't confirm his age as I can't find a DOB anywhere, but he went to NC State in 2014. If he was 18 at the time, that means he will likely be 23 by the time this season starts. Not really what the Steelers look for, especially in round 1.

This guy doesn't get enough love, forget trading up for Bush in the first round. I would trade up for Pratt in the second round, it would cost less than trying to get Bush. Pratt was also more productive in 2018, he had over 100 tackles, 6 sacks, and 10 TFL.

The talk has cooled down with him and I'm fine with that. Let him go under the radar and fall into our lap.

It doesn't seem that the Steelers are interested in him, all the talk is about Bush .

I know they almost exclusively draft the first round based on who they have met with but not sure how much they stick to it past the first.

We said the same thing about Dunbar last year and it lead to us selecting 1 Alabama player in the 7th that didn't even make the team.

Coach Bradley and Marcus Allen too. Allen made it, but not much of an impact year one.
