The Pens got their ass$s handed to them. I have never been a fan of them playing early day games.
Seems like too often in those games the Pens look like they are sleep walking. Flyers tomorrow night.
Maybe this game will remind them they haven't won anything yet and help them focus on the playoffs.
Usually, Murray and the Pens play well after a poor outing like today.

Last night was painful. Flyers tie the score with 20 seconds left.
Then win the game with 4 seconds left. One point is better than none.
Crosby gave the game away with that stupid attempt at defense in OT.
They are still in good shape to make the playoffs unless they fall apart.
Malkin being out for an undetermined amount of time hurts.
They need to play hard this week and next week.

Only 9 game remaining in the regular season. Pens need to ramp it up.

2 of the last 3 games the Pens left points on the table.
Teams catching them in the last few seconds indicates a problem.
They need to solve that problem before the playoffs start.
Their offense is not producing at the level they can, needs fixed.
The way they are playing right now, if they do make the playoffs they won't make it out of the first round.

    Pens looked better last night.
They still haven't solved the problem of giving up late goals.
But at least Crosby won it for them in the shootout.
    Murray played great last night.
    In Dallas tomorrow night.

Only 6 more regular season games. The Pens looked pretty good last night.
Hope Malkin gets back on the ice soon. Their offense needs some help.
They are only 1 point out of first place in the division but they have played an extra game.
    Good test on Monday night.

Nice couple of games against stout opponents on the road. The Pens are like the character in the John Lennon song "Come Together" - "Here comes old Flat Top, he comes, moving up slowly". I'm just hoping it does indeed - "Come Together" - for the Pens this year. They'll need a truly gutty performance from here on out throughout the playoffs to even sniff the Cup with all the deficiencies they seem to have vs 2-3 years ago. Can't say I'm all that excited to see Matta return to the ice vs Letang's return.

Nice break until Friday after tonight's game against the Rangers.
The Rangers have lost more games than they have won but are still dangerous.
Pens need to bring their A game tonight and every night from here on out.
They have been able to do that the last three years they need to do that for this year.

Pens played like they should at this time of year.
Went down by 2 in the first period and then shut out the Rangers while scoring the next 5 goals.
Murray was on his game as was the defense. Still need Malkin back for the playoffs.
They have pretty much secured a playoff spot. The next 2 weeks will determine the first round schedule.
The Pens have as good a chance of winning the Cup this year as anyone. This is the year to win 3 out of 4.

Four games left. Big one against Carolina this afternoon that will go a long way in determining
home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs between the two teams.
The Pens really need Malkin for some scoring firepower. He should be ready for the playoffs.
Maybe today he will play. Letang was out last game but he should be back for the payoffs.
When they are healthy and playing their game they can beat anyone and win it all.

    Three games left including tonight.
It would be nice to see them get 100 points for the season.
It would be nicer to see everyone healthy and playing.

I have a feeling the playoffs are going to be a rollercoaster ride. If they can get healthy and have everyone play to their ability they can go deep but if it is this up and down stuff could be an early exit

I hoped the Pens would get to 100 points and they did by the skin of their teeth.
Murray has been a little off recently. He needs to come out strong in the playoffs.
Now is the time for the Pens to gear it up another notch. Second season starts now.

Not sure if a local Pgh network is televising the games, they won't be televised on their regular Pgh AT&T Sports channel (I subscribe as an out of towner) but fortunately looks like all Pens games (at least first round) will be on NBC Sports or NBC Network channels. Looking at some of the other playoff series, the television coverage is mighty strange, I don't recognize many of the networks being used. Pens road record this year is very similar to home record so hopefully the lack of home-rink advantage won't factor too much into the equation. Go Pensburgh!!!!

Not going to happen the way they've been playing.

I wouldn't mid losing in the 1st round if they had gritty hard fought games. They're just giving it to them on a platter! No net front presence, half-assed pass attempts, bad pinches, easy zone entries, you name it they're doing it. Looks like preseason play.

Pens threw in the towel first game lol.

Dynasty officially over it was a good run.

All in all Big Ben/Crosby era was fantastic and it seems both are coming to the final chapter.

5 rings 7 championship appearances between them and 14 years

They got rid of their quick scrappy heart players and held onto Brassard too long. They can't play teams that go all in.on D and clog up neutral zone. They have to play dump and chase to beat them and without Sheary, Kunackle, and Hag's they don't have the speed to do that.
