A career ending injury to Brady would sure change the odds, LOL.

    Or this.

Eli Manning beat NE twice in the Super Bowl because he had the right team around him. `Nuff said.

Eli manning beat them cause he had one of the best defensive lines in recent history and the fact that wes welker dropped the only ball in his lifetime or that second game is over...... Yes he had 2 two minute offense , the first of which was all luck but other than that he did not do much......... He was MVP cause his last name is manning......

Being a Steelers fan from 1999 to 2009 felt like a different time. Seems there are so much more drama with this team than ever before. It's truly difficult to watch anymore. I tend to vanish during the off-season and only try to read anything football related on game-day.

I love the way this team goes into "this time we're reeeeallly mad" mode. And then starts the season 2-3.

Like they're admitting they didn't take things seriously enough before, but they learned their lesson and are going to from now on. Fool me one shame on you, fool me ten times, shame on me.

Maybe, if enough players get irritated that the world isn't giving them enough respect they will take it on their own shoulders and clean up Tomlin's toxic environment and develop their own leadership? But then Tomlin's contract gets extended:puking 4:

Yup ....been hearing the same thing for years and years. Empty promise after empty promise. That being said they have all the motivation in the world. How long they can sustain that " chip" remains to be seen.

I'm actually cautiously optimistic that they will all be putting their best foot forward. That's why I feel if it doesn't happen this year with all that extra motivation. It's probably not gonna happen under this current regime. IMO drastic changes will need to be made. This me for some new blood.

That has to be a little painful! Even the football related stuff is drama for the Steelers lately.

Well, you are actually describing how this place used to be to an extent. Venting is fine, even constructive sometimes. I don't think anyone is running around with blinders either (we all acknowledge there are issues). Some people here act like the hated mother in law who never has anything good to say. Try being the hot sister in law once in a while then we can at the least tune you out by being distracted by your hot body (this isn't directed at you CK 13, I have never noticed you being a complete debbie downer).

Don't you just wish that people could accept that there is a happy medium? This isn't life or family, it's football, and so we can talk about the mistakes they make, the ugly trends, etc. and still love the team. It's not like talking about your sister being a few pounds overweight, your smokin hot sister in law, or the wart on your mom's nose. But I forgot who I was talking to.

The Steelers are perfect, have never made a mistake, never will make a mistake, anyone who leaves the Steelers are nothing but bums and were the only cause of anything wrong the Steelers ever did ...... and this is why we've won the last ten superbowls with limited talent!

I think there is a difference between venting and repetitive bitching. And that’s not aimed at you. Also, just because some of us disagree with the sky is falling group doesn’t mean we have blinders on.

The post above is a good example of the repetitive nonsensical bitching.

I will play Glenn and tell you that you are wrong. But I will actually go on to tell you why, thorn058 and one other actually expressed differing thoughts, the rest simply keep bitching about ANYTHING negative said about the team, without ever addressing the points made by those who see cause for concern. And just because I don't back down to the bitching doesn't make me wrong.:beg:

    Just the facts ma'am!:smiley1:

The first time my wife told me I should loose weight, it was just the facts ma’am. The 37th time she said the same thing, it was bitching. She doesn’t back down either.

The 64 million dollar question? How many times did you show her that you weren't overweight? or did you say, I'm overweight and I know it, stop bitching about it!

Oh hell, I’m definitely overweight. I just don’t need to hear it 37 times. That’s just bitching.

Let me help. If your wife keeps telling you to lose weight and you keep telling her she is wrong, that you are not overweight, then she is probably going to keep telling you to lose weight, rightfully so. If she keeps telling you to lose weight and you tell her you know you are overweight and you are okay with, and she keeps telling you, then she is bitching.

You are right. And I certainly don't expect you to give me the same respect you give your wife:smiley1:
