Playing devil's advocate here as I dot really think we will draft RT in round 1, however, are we all completely overlooking it as a need?

Marcus Gilbert is gone. Our OL guru is gone. I assume Matt Filer is the incumbent. If not at #20, should we be looking at RT with one of our top 4 picks?

I believe if we wanted one of the best OL we could get him at #20. Maybe Jawan Taylor and Jonah Williams are off the board but I can envision one or both still bein around. What about Cody Ford? Greg Little?

Like many/all of you I see bigger needs, especially at #20 and #52. Feiler did pretty well last year and I'm comfortable starting.

However, one connected piece that I am starting to think more about is the Steelers falling in love with TJ Hockenson at #20. Pre-combine we saw a lot of top #10 hype which I wasnt really buying. He tested well, but what you would expect from a 250 lb TE. Hockenson improves our passing game, our run game with his blocking, but also Feiler with additional pass protection. Very logical pick.

If I had to take a guess, all this tells me that Mike Tomlin and Randy Fichtner must be comfortable enough to have Chuks as the backup for the time being. Keep in mind that Zach Banner is still on the Practice Squad and could still be an asset to the team.

I do wholeheartedly agree with you on one aspect though. Mike Munchak turned our offensive lineman into stars at their positions. Not saying Shaun Sarrett will be a disaster as that is unfair to him but stating he has big shoes to fill is quite an understatement.

One more aspect. I also agree we will be spending a pick on an offensive lineman. Question remains when?! As you said, should all options be gone by pick 52 and if Greg Little is still there, get him. His ceiling is the same as Chuks; immense. Just needs some coaching.

I would look for added depth in late rounds

I doubt they will be going oline early. If I were to bet it would be a late round pick on a center. Pouncey only has a few years left and we haven’t really groomed anyone to take over once he is gone.

Chuks is here. Banner is here. Hawkins is still here. Feiler is still here. RJ prince. We have kept most of the backups we brought in last year so they have a year under their belts and under munch.

My assumption was that Chuks Okarofor would be the starter with Feiler backing up both LT and RT. Jerald Hawkins came in strong but has been derailed with injuries. I hope he's back on track. Him and Feiler as backups would be good imo.

Finney is the only legit interior back up, I think that is where they look in the draft. G/C capable player in the mid to late rounds would be my guess.

Patrick Morris was also kept at center. I expect he will be kept on the PS as that 3rd center. Banner was on the 53 last year and is tackle guard capable. He was used in some short yardage situations.

If I were a betting man, I would guess they get a guy in the 4-6 range to bring some competition to the room at G/C.

Okorafor played well last year. He can play both. I wouldn't put that as a huge priority. They need to youth and tenacity on this defense IMO. #1 priority with the picks up through the 3rd round IMO.
