Unreal I actually thought fort played ok good enough to come on as a backup. On the other side of the coin McCullers stinks and I see no upside to him coming back. I don’t care if they use him as a blocking dummie he would fail at that. I just don’t get it.......smh

Yeah I would have preferred to hold onto Fort.

Why bring back McCullers? I was his biggest fan , but outside of some pretty season games, he has never showed anything.

Unfreekin real. Colbert, one oh chit wipes out all the atta boys. Fort could and should start over anybody we have right now.

Mccullers, really? Kev, you have to find and destroy those pics of you, mt, art and that sheep.

Fort showed promise but was never going to get the opportunity here to be a starter. It will be interesting to see how he pans out.

McCullers No surprise we resigned him.

I don’t think of Fort as a quality starter, but I do like him as the first guy off the bench. I think we could have done better than the reported contract he signed with Philly. I’m disappointed.

    McCullers is just plain awful.

So our only LB with speed they let go?
Then we bring back the biggest waste of a roster spot...literally. SMH

I don't see McCullers making it to the opening day roster. He is just a fill in until we find someone better.

I've said this for the third year in a row.

I agree. Fort has a lot more upside than Chickalo.

Fort is almost 30 and last season was by far his best. His contract with the Eagles can reach up to 10 million with playing time incentives. Steelers apparently tried to retain him but weren't going to match that, cant say I blame them.

LJ Fort is very underrated player. He's not an every down linebacker, but an excellent back up and great special teams player to have. I wish him the best of luck and wish he was staying a Steeler.

Tomlin has admitted on more than one occasion that Mccullers is flawed and shows limitations, so resign him for two more years!

These are my thoughts. Chickillo just doesn't excite me. Nor does Dupree. And there is a ton of money allocated there now. I think the Eagles got a good bargain on Fort. Wish the Steelers would have kept him and sent Matachavich (sp?) packing.

lmao! His knock is that he takes plays off.

My question is how many plays does he actually play in which he can take off?

I don't know what Tomlin is doing, he certainly isn't coaching.

FWIW Ray Fittipaldo of the Post Gazette said he thinks the Steelers could draft 2 ILBs, I would be good with that.
