Listening to Metallica got me thinking. It’s been 39 days since the cheats won #6.

There’s been a lot of talk about wide receivers

There’s been a lot of talk about running backs

There’s been a lot of talk about coaches, who left and who should’ve left

There’s been a lot of talk about Ben

There’s been a lot of talk about the Rooneys

There’s been a lot of talk about Pittsburgh Dad

There’s been a lot of talk about hurt feelings

There’s been a lot of talk about the Browns

There’s been a lot of talk about a lot of stuff....

But until they replace Shazier, nothing else matters!

Intriguing indeed. While I do not entirely agree that replacing Shazier should be Pittsburgh's ultimate and only priority at present, I do agree that the Steelers have been in the news more often than they would like. For that matter, I would assume that the team does not make any headlines sans any developments via AB and Bell through indirect forms of comparisons.

All that being said, you said you were listening to Metallica correct?! May I ask which song?!

Yeah. With the free agent signings ILB is the clear black hole on the team. We lost Fort and signed nobody. Distant second would be TE.

Not knowing that one is simply unforgiven - i know, sad but true. ttf, because he is the master of puppets on this board, needs to seek and destroy this topic so fast that it causes whiplash. it is just fuel for the fire and we all know that you fight fire with fire. so turn the page, drink the whiskey in the jar, and before you enter sandman, know that you've really been the harvester of sorrow tonight but the memory remains. oh well, welcome home and no hard feelings AQL. mods - fade to black please.

Certainly there are more needs, but this team cannot go into another season without a quality ILB.

Great Rush - now I'm angry again but I trust that I won't wake up dead tomorrow even though i'll be sweating bullets. I typically take no prisoners and crush 'em since there are 99 ways to die. However, in my darkest hour, I know that I'll make it by the skin o'my teeth. For now I'll leave this train of consequences and the conjuring because peace sells. These are my last words on this reckoning day!

    :applaud:

    Fair enough!

To be completely honest, I just started listening to Metallica this season. Megadeth, Slayer, Tankard, Kreator, Iron Maiden among others were the first ones I listened to when I was a kid. :lolol:

**Resisting the urge to say: "that's great, but I prefer Suicidal Tendencies..." and see how long this can keep going**

(Although the logical progression would be Slayer, but the seasons in the abyss are probably coming soon enough.)

Not very subliminal Thig. You might need to be institutionalized for even suggesting that but you can't bring me down. However, send me your money and pledge your allegiance and I'll see what I can do. I'm glad that I'm not alone even if nobody hears me.

Best Metallica albums occurred during the 80's. Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets (the greatest), Garage Days and ... And Justice for All.

Many of the tracks on the black album were done to death.... like Skynrd's Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama and Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love.

Load, Re-Load and St. Anger sucked.

Death Magnetic was a nice return to the progressive metal of the Puppets/Justice days... plus Rick Rubin > Bob Rock.

I grew up with Metallica. Megadeth was good, too. ST, Pantera, Anthrax... rocked.

If Shazier were never to have been injured, I'd venture to guess not much would have been different. He is good, but not that good. I'd take Dallas' rookie LB over Shazier straight up in a heartbeat. Seems I'll be still reading 5 years from now how we still haven't replace him and keep that excuse for as long as needed to cover the other real reasons for losing. Need to move on from this. Although Pro Bowl 2 out of the 4 years he played, hasn't been All Pro (yet) which to me are your truly irreplaceable players. I hope he can come back and achieve this but we should have been able to recovered by now. .
