Good job turning down 45/70 million from the Steelers plus the 14 last year. Really made up for it :thumbs up:

Which the million dollar question is how much did he end up getting in gaurantees.

I'm glad he's out of the Burgh and the drama saga's end appears to be at it's end.

If the locker room does not shape up, I'll be one of those added to the fire Tomlin committee. I have a feeling this was a lesson hard learned for Tomin and things will change. We will find out.

So... he held out... for less?

Was George Costanza doing his negotiating?

What a maroon. Wow he lost a pile of $ and has to play for a garbage team. Him and Brown will regret thier decisions.

He would have gotten 45 million in rolling gaurantees in the contract with the Steelers over the first 3 years. Oh well the saga is over.

Let's see how he does behind that offensive line.

That's just it though, rolling guarantees. He wants it all now. Makes you think this guy has a plan to cut and run sooner rather than later.

Yep. His heart's not in football. It's a means for him to make $$. I give him three years more tops in this league.

His entire hold out for that come on. He could’ve stayed a Steeler and got close to the same amount of money and been on a winning team. Instead he’s going to a losing wasteland. I wanted us to keep Bell but we messed that up as well.

He won’t be accused of being a math wiz!

I’m glad to see him go rot on a bad team. Couldn’t have happened to a better guy.

You think Bell will be gone fast wait til Carr can't get AB
enough touches or ball in right place next year he will want out
of Oakland/ Vegas, They will see how big of pain in the ass he really is.
I hope both players never make the playoffs again.

Just wait... someone is going to come out and spin it into “Bell won.” He cost himself 14.5 million to make a deal that around the same or worse, but... but... but there was a tiny chance that he would have suffered a career ending injury last year, so losing the 14.5 million was worth it.

He was looking for Gurley money, don’t kid yourself. The Steelers offer was better.

How did the Steelers mess that up? Bell was unreasonable, hard to negotiate with that.

    Exactly.

I said this before and I’ll say it again......
Thank GOD this F’ing moron didn’t sign their offer last year.

Add to that, thank GOD that he didn’t sign the tag either.

Steelers didn’t miss a beat without him last year and will get his cap space from 2018 credited toward 2019, making the Brown dead money more palatable.

And in the case of New York..... more is less.... his tax bracket more than doubled so he’s likely to take home less than he would have with the Steelers offer.... even with more “guaranteed”. Best free agency news of the year.
