OK just to get this up to date on the basic rules of this. ANYONE can vote no matter if you're in on the mock or not. ONE vote per person. We generally open voting within 2-3 or so picks before the Steelers. If the person you vote for gets taken before the Steelers pick...you CAN change your pick to someone available. The player with the most votes wins. Also as with previous years...no trades will be allowed involving the Steelers.

    Thats pretty much it...its simple!

Steelers pick is now only 4 spots away. Let's get the discussion started. I am throwing out some names. Let's hear from some of the board gurus thoughts on these guys and others.

    Devin Bush, LB, Michigan
    Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
    Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia
    Brian Murphy, CB, Washington
Is there a WR that you would take #1? or Noah Fant. TE, Iowa?

I personally do not see a WR worthy of the #20 pick overall. Fant and Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida may be the best available on the offensive side of the ball, but the Steelers need a cornerback and inside linebacker, so taking the BPA is probably not the best use of the pick.

I look forward to the discussion.

I like Baker the D.B. from Georgia. Top rated player at the position of most need.

Im always critical of draft choices but even with nothing on the line im struggling to make the call here. All 4 names listed seem viable to me and i do also like Fant as think as a receiving threat he could take some pressure off JuJu and more so Washington....

I'd torn between baker and murphy

This may be a surprise but I am on the Murphy bandwagon. This kid can play and I want nothing to do with Bush. I would rather look at Pratt, Hanks, Coney in the next round or two.

I never envisioned a scenario where greedy Williams would be available to us this late, and if he's still around he's got my vote

Greedy may have the H-W-S but both Baker and Murphy are better players.

I'll go with CB Byron Murphy.

Looks like we are a little split on CB's and man what a nice problem to have here. Honestly if we were to have Baker, Williams and Murphy to choose from I woul love it. So for those who don't know about these hguys here is some info:

With 2 more picks coming in ahead of the Steelers I will list my top 3 in order:

    1. Byron Murphy - A complete corner who makes plays on the ball. It’s dangerous to throw the ball in his direction in zone coverage. He’ll cause turnovers, and we need DBs who can cause turnovers.

    2. Deandre Baker - The best man coverage corner in the draft by a mile IMO. Hasn’t allowed a TD to his man since 2016, and that’s playing in the SEC and in the CFB playoffs. He’s decent in zone as well, and can improve with more coaching and reps in zone. His tackling has to improve - a lot.

    3. Devin Bush - I’ve said enough about him in other threads. Plenty of debate there.

I'm voting Devin Bush, I have a late 1st or 2nd round rating on all those CB's.

Yes it is 3, if that is Steel_Elvis' vote. I did not read it as a vote when I read it the first time, but I could see how that could be interpretted as a vote.

Between Murphy and Bush. Haven't made up my mind yet. Really like both these players but wonder if we have the coaching to utilize Bush to the fullest.

Man, I know it's a position of need, but we tend to pick the best available player and make things work.... Again, I'm not sure those CB's even get picked in the 1st round, Maybe 30/31. CB class is thin this year, not sure I'd take a stretch on any of them.

Heard and interesting story this morning they were talking about the Jets when they had Revis and how good that D was. They said he took half the field away but what most didn't talk about was by doing that it freed up the safety. We have had some bad safety play and to think getting a stud CB here to go with Haden would maybe help the safety position for us as well.......Yeah I know I am trying to talk @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace into Murphy.....:lolol::lolol::roflmao::roflmao:

I am voting for Devin Bush. The Steelers missed on getting a linebacker last season. I understand he has some flaws, but Murphy's 4.55 40 time has me concerned.
