So they are throwing away ben's last 3 years? And ok they can keep him around but good luck with the team going anywhere far. The bridge is burned. And good luck with Tomlin being able to keep any order within the locker room. It's bad enough Colbert has said what he said about the roster. Team is headed for a downward spiral. And I know he doesnt wnat to be here. That's the point. He could be such distraction and detriment to the team if they force him to be here and to top it off the will still have to pay him long as he at least shows up. He could act like a complete ass to the point it enables the team not function properly with him and then what would they do? Let it carry on and pay him that money just prove a pride point. They already tried the pride point with leveon. Just like when t.o was in philly. He was so detrimental that they PAID HIM to stay away because that was their only solution of winning going forward.

Also I believe Colbert only said that whole "we wont just give him away thing" to try to enhance his trade value so teams can think they may keep him and thus have to overwhelm Pitt with an offer to get him.

The Steelers have already written him off and are moving forward without him. Even if they dont trade him, they are done with him. AB continuing to flap his gums is only hurting his worth to another team. The guy has never been accused of being a mensa member, but his behavior has been over the top stupid.

What is disturbing in all this is where is Ben? He has been absolutely silent in all of this. You'd think he'd lower the ego a tad and reach out to AB and try to clean some of this mess up. I mean, he's about to lose his #1 weapon. Does he just not give a damn or something?

The argument is you don't think AB is hurting himself by flapping his gums. He is. Its bad for both if he stays. He holds no cards here.

Ben may have tried to make contact with AB privately. I know Ben said he tried to call/text AB the last week of the season, but there was no response.

I found an article that said there was also a 7th rd pick from the Raiders in the Moss trade, not that it really matters.

Ben doesn't need AB & is most probably sick of his tantrums.
AB is the one who doesn't give a damn & thinks he is gods gift to football.

I'm fresh out of pity for weak minded multimillionaires who cry they are being kept down by the man.

So you think frugal as they are that they would pay him 23 million to sit home?

Correct but it's worse for pitt if he stays than it is for him. Hes still owed the rest of the money long as he is on the roster.

Ben is doing exactly what he should be doing. Staying out of it. Ben didn't create this problem. AB did. Anything Ben says will be twisted by the media and would just continue to add fuel to the fire. Personally I hope we dont here a peep from Ben until mini-camp.

He is under contract. Unless they trade him, he is still under contract. What else would they do, if they dont trade him? And if Brown decides not to play, then wouldn't he be in breach of contract? And if that's the case, why would he get paid anything?

He's being smart, and it's exactly what I would do if I were in his shoes.

Ben will be just fine without feeling forced to get the ball to Brown. He has Ju Ju, Vance, Samuels, Washington, Rogers, etc. Look for the Steelers to bring in another WR also. My guess would be a veteran via free agency.

A bunch of diva idiots getting paid millions to play a child's game as they act like children.

Antonio Brown will never be as good as Jerry Rice and

Lebron James can't even stand on the same stage as Michael Jordan

I'm done with Antonio clown. He's so far gone it's ridiculous. Let him be someone esle's problem. Colbert has been far to nice about him, obviously to help get his ass out the door with compensation.

Exactly. "They" have made you a very rich man for running up and down a court, throwing a ball into a hoop.

So out of touch with reality.

    I'll
Blasphemy? Dude I'll walk back the not a great receiver comment but I just don't see him as complete a receiver as AB didn't realize I treaded into all time conversation.. I blame the beer hahahahaha

He is not in my opinion on AB's level work wise etc... Or a handful of others, but he did what he did mired in what we know about his career. Would I have loved to have him? Yep he was a stud at what he did. Guess I approached it more from a comparison stand point the other night. As far as being blasphemous goes, I reserve that title for regards directed towards the almighty and these boys aren't in that category. To say moss isn't whatever is far from blasphemous. Carry on.

He already said in the beginning that AB wasn't returning calls. I'm pretty sure he reached out and it is what it is. Serves no purpose for him to go on lebron's show or hit up ESPN HQ to continue any sort of banter at this point. AB is playing victim on every stage available to him because he's in full throttle melt down/asinine excusatory enabling mode and why would Ben interject himself into such a **** show?
