All this negative crap is making me nauseous. So I have a different question. This franchise had a ton of history. It has had it's fair share of hall of famers. It has also had some great players who have always been over looked in my opinion.

See if you can name a player at each position who might have not got the recognition they deserved. NO HALL OF FAMERS. Please.

Let's talk about something fun and look back instead of all the current crap for a minute

    Qb Joe gilliam
    RBS Frank Pollard Jon fuqua
    Wr Louis lipps yancey thigpen
    Te Eric green
    Tackles Jon kolb justin strzelczyk
    Guards. Terry long Sam Davis
Centers Jeff hastings We have been blessed at the position

    Let's do a 4-3

    Dt Joel steed Gary Dunn
    De Brett kiesel kieth Willis
    Olb Mike merriweather Robin Cole
    MLB levon Kirkland
    CBS Dwayne woodruff Ron Johnson
Ss donnie shell should be in hof
    Fs Ryan Clark

    K Matt bahr
    Forget punters

The reason I didnt put Anderson is only because I consider him the best we have ever had. I bet he could still out kick what we have

Mike Wagner was a guy not mentioned who I felt played a key role.
I witnessed the Super Bowl injury to Ernie Mills, BTW, which I felt was a huge blow for us in that game that gets forgotten. He had an awesome 1995 season and was never the same after the injury.
Antwaan Randle EL was huge. 2005 Super Bowl team his QB skills really came into play, which I will never forget. Cowher always had a slash on his teams.
Same season, Willie Parker, made huge contributions, especially 75 yd TD in SB 40.
Ernie Holmes gets forgotten as well...
These are off the top of my head, which are guys who made and huge impression on me and made plays for our Steelers in the big game

    QB: Kordell Stewart
I am not afraid to give Kordell some props. He took us to 2 AFC title games and is one of the best athletes to ever play the position. Barely anyone speaks of him.

    RB: Willie Parker
Never gets the credit he deserves. Fast Willie had some really good seasons that people forget about.

    WR: Antwaan Randel El
Team player who could do it all. The guy played his role, and played his role well.

    TE: Adrian Cooper
Cooper was stuck behind Eric Green on the depth chart. I always thought he had the potential to be just as good as Green. It's a shame he left before Green did.

    C: Jeff Hartings
Everyone forgets about Hartings. He deserves to be mentioned with the other great Steelers Centers. Colbert bringing him in solidified the Oline.

    G: Will Wolford
Could also be listed as an underrated Tackle.

    T: Leon Searcy
Had Searcy not left in FA, he may have been regarded as the best Steelers Tackle of All Time.

    DL: Kimo Von Oelhoffen
Smith and Keisel get plenty of love. The only thing that Kimo gets mentioned for is hurting Cason Palmer. Kimo was a great FA pickup and a great Steeler.

    ILB: James Farrior
It's hard to call Farrior underrated. He just doesn't get mentioned as much as he should.

    OLB: Jason Gildon
We talk about Lloyd, Greene, Porter, and Harrison. Gildon gets very little mention. He should.

    CB: Dwayne Woodruff
Many 80s Steelers get forgotten. DW was darn good.

    S: Darren Perry
Nothing flashy. Just a steady, solid, starter.

    K: Norm Johnson
Norm was automatic during his time here. He did miss a bad one during the 97 AFCC. Other than that he was great.

Dang, I had forgotten him, until you mentioned him, now I can't get him out of my mind. Well at least AB's not there. Oh wait, AB is there. AB, I'll see you in the fall, probably not on the Steelers, but on my fantasy team. I think I will keep you on my bench each week and tweet you, that I am not starting you, even if it costs me the coveted Yahoo Cup.

Oh no! I am hijacking this thread. Where's Glenn? I need help. Glen? Glen? Glen? Oh no I got Glen in my mind. What was that guy's name? Oh yeah, Fuamatu-Maʻafala. Ah, okay, we are back to normal. No it can't be normal, because this is the Steelers.

Merril Hoge was a stud that ended up being wasted when Bill Cowher decided to utilize the FB position for primarily a lead blocker. I hated watching Hoge lose carries and catches to scrubbs like Leroy Thompson and Tim Worley. Dude was tough as nails, could catch, run, and block.

I was going to mention him as well. He had his warts, but take away a total meltdown of special teams in 2001 and he would have led us to a Super Bowl.

People either loved Kordell or hated him. Personally I always pulled for the guy. Mentioning Kordell's name is very polarizing. To some people, talking about Kordell is like talking about NOD.

I never hated korell. I never thought he was treated fair. That said I love Ben but if we had him today with these rules and the way the game is played now. He is an all pro

Great point about the Mills injury. His backups made errors in that game that cost big time.
