As the title states, should Antonio Brown be traded by the time the draft arrives, which of these players would you like to replace him? Please give your reasons! :)

I go Metcalf or Harry. I’m a N’keal Fan because he fights for those contested catches. While he might not have the deep speed Metcalf has, I believe he ran a more advanced route tree. He makes rediculous catches and is built like Dez. He fits what the Steelers liked about JuJu and Washington. He’s agile for his size as well. I don’t think he’ll be a 1 trick pony in the NFL.

Metcalf is a burner and with his height he’ll do a good job stretching the field. Teams will have to pick their poison, juju or getting burnt by a tall 6’4” wr who has hands. He’d fit the Martavis Bryant role quite well. Knock on him is he’s probably not as sound of a route runner and has injury history.

I'm going TJ Hockenson. It's not a 1 for 1, WR/WR, but he is a complete player and they can split him or McDonald out wide at times. You lose nothing in the blocking game.
Plus I'm not giving up on Washington either. They'll still add a WR in the middle rounds (or wherever slotting they get in the trade) if they went TJ at 1:20 imo

X2 for Hockenson. Talented and I don’t think you need to worry about his motivations, etc.

Harry if he runs well at the combine, he returned kicks in college also.

More like he ate one. Met-calf looks like a linebacker!

I'd say take Hockenson at #20 and start playing 2 TE sets all the time with JuJu and Washington on the outside.

I still think AB comes back though. The Steelers don't cave to these situations and if we can't get fair trade value we aren't just letting him go. Show up and earn your money.

I still think the better play would be to go Hockenson in round 1.

2 TE sets with Hockenson and MacDonald.

2 WRS with JuJu and Washington

    Connor at RB.

I'm still hoping we don't panic because I think we have bigger problems on defense and would like to focus there.

If we do go WR I'm hoping it is in the mid rounds.

They absolutely need a draft pick or FA signing to replace AB. Probably best bet is to go after Tate or whoever and then draft a WR after the first rd.

TE's are notorious slow starters in the NFL. At least with a WR, they may get another JuJu or Bryant performance out of the first season.

Deebo Samuel maybe in the second round or later, he has some special teams value also.

John Brown would be my WR choice if they go the FA route, but Tate is good as well.

Yeah I’ve been thinking John Brown as an AB replacement if we dip into the FA pool.

Brown provides a needed vertical threat, and will likely be much cheaper than Tate. He’s my guy too. Maybe we can pick him up, and then assign him #84. That way all of those AB jersey purchases fans have made don’t get wasted.

I love this. That’s a really difficult set to defend against.

Hochenson for me. now if we had a coordinator
that could make this work. Would be interesting.
Maybe a better pass/ run ratio would exist.
Again I will mention, when you limit Ben to 38 and below pass attempts
the Steelers winning percentage goes way up.

Since I started watching the bowl games Deebo has done nothing but impress me. He is my guy pretty much by default since I haven't thought too much about the WR position in the draft and not really looked at many others. Now with the recent news it sure does look like we will need another WR, so Deebo is my guy. The thing with Deebo is he has a lot of talent and can't be far off the other 1st round guys and we could grab Deebo in the second hopefully allowing us to still go defense in the first. I see some here picked TJ and talked 2 TE set, however I don't think Ben will like that.

Hard not to go with DK. Yeah he's a risk but the upside is huge. He reminds me of Julio.

If we get a one for Brown and a two for bell somehow it could be a monumental draft for us.

    1. Burns
    1. Adderly
    2. Samuels
    2. Love - savage
    3. Edwards
    4. Connelly

    Would be very happy.:smiley1::cool:

I had mine hesitations with RF before last year but I think he did a great job. I think he'd make it work.
