Patriots matchup in the regular season is now the Steelers "Super Bowl."

If only Steelers would put forth the same effort vs. Raiders, Bears, Jets, Bucs, Browns, etc.

At New England? Loss. 0-1. Game will be over by mid way through 2nd quarter. September Steelers are bad enough historically... offense will be out of sync. Defense will give up several 3rd down and 25+ yard plays. Seriously. Which coach will have their team better prepared for week 1? Tomlin or Belichick? This is laughable and brutal for the Steelers if the NFL schedules this game. To add insult to injury, the Patriots can celebrate their 6 Lombardis in the face of the Steelers franchise and Steelers fan base on opening day. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Is AB a child that has to be told the difference between right and wrong. At what point does it become a grown man's fault. This AB thing is not the coach. Other things you can blame on the coach, but this is just a guy that needs to grow up.

Except Tomlin has enabled AB's boorish behavior for years. This has been discussed at length on this forum, but when Tomlin says he's willing to put up with all of AB's bullcrap as long as he produces, this is what you get.

Sorry man, but this is Art Rooney's team.

So if people don't like how he runs things, than maybe the STEELERS are not their team. Just sayin.

We should retain Antonio for 15 more years so his hair turns gray and match his mustache.

Everyone must bow before him with their beer on the way to their seat.

yep. We need the first game to be at home vs a non sub .500 team, or ravens, or patriots... to at least get that first win.

KC would beat us. Bring on the texans or something, a decent team that we won't look down on.

edit: i just realized we played the afc south last year so.. bring on the seahawks rams dolphins

The schedule isn't set, everybody is just guessing what the NFL will do. I was going off ESPN radio saying it might be Chiefs vs Patriots.

Do you know how the transition tag works?

The transition tag effectively turns an unrestricted free agent into a restricted one, though without the added team security of receiving draft picks should the player leave. By tagging Bell, Pittsburgh could sit back and wait for other teams to make offers on the All-Pro tailback. Once he gets an offer to his liking, he’ll start the clock on the Steelers’ seven-day window to either match the contract or let him walk. That would give Pittsburgh the opportunity to re-sign Bell at a lower figure should his market never materialize, or use its transition tag-given right to sign him to an astronomical deal, then trade him to whichever interested party is offering the biggest return for Bell and his new contract.

So they lie and wait for the rap giant to except a monster deal, they match it and then we trade him for picks to the team that offered him the monster deal. The team says nah, you can have him. Then what? Please.

Get rid of the rap giant. They still get a compensatory pick.
Get rid of Brown. At this point the whole 1st round pick might be an after though after the incident of him shoving one of his baby mamas. He has anger issues, cut bait and hope we get at least a 2nd and a 4th.
Rescind the 5th year option on the waste Dupree. He is not worth near a 9 mill pay day for a year let alone signing him to a long term deal.

parents make kids grow up, coaches make their players grow up. pretty simple. If he was on the Patriots he would either have been straightened out or shipped out long before this.....

and we would have been so much better off doing this in 2017: we would not have had the drama of last year, JuJu gets to take over as the No.1, we'd get a better return if we traded him sooner (we need to trade him + he was fighting with his girlfriend so he may get suspended = lower trade value) and by now the players we got back (had we traded him before all this nonsense when his value was higher, Im assuming a mid first rd pick and a third rounder) have a year in the system under their belts.

Now, we trade him for low value, about a 10% chance we get bell back, and if not its Ben, Juju, and prayer on offense.

Connor was good, but there's a lot of RBs who have 1 great year and then disappear. I hope he comes back strong but history and the odds he is as good as he was until he got hurt are not on his side.
