NFL will add another dumb rule: It is deemed a penalty if the player is showing intent to go out of bounds. You heard it here first.

 

It was over in the 4th on that bogus holding penalty that wiped out a 12 yard Gurley gain into NE territory.

It was a legal hit. The officials did plenty wrong yesterday, but that wasn't a mistake.

If this was Brady in todays game ,its a flag..If it was Brady last night instead of Goff,its a flag.Hard to win when the rules are different for every team and their players

 

You can have ill intent as long as you execute it within the rules. The hit on Goff was legal. Get past it.

If you want to complain about officiating, how about the ticky-tack hold on the Rams' center that killed the drive when the game was tied? Better yet, focus on the blatant pass interference on the throw to Cooks in the end zone the play before Goff's interception. The corner, I think it was Gilmore, clearly grabbed the receiver's arm before the ball arrive and never let go.

Goff could have slid at the last minute and probably drawn a flag. But if no flag the clock doesn't stop since the play is dead when the slide begins (in bounds) and clock keeps running (if that was even an issue when that play occurred). I'm talking in circles but the QB's only protection is the slide, even if he had just run 99 yds.

 

The way I feel right now, I wont be back to my full-time fandom until Roger Goodell is gone. To quote Joe Thomas, he's basically just Vince McMahon and the NFL is as scripted as the WWE. I've done a lot of research over the past couple of weeks to see whether or not I was just having sour grapes. Did you know that the NFL is legally allowed to fix games? From what I have read, it's true. Goodell's master, Bob Kraft, is on record praising Goodell's emphasis on story lines and exciting finishes. That tells you a lot right there. How could Goodell possibly do any of that if he's not fixing games? I now believe that Brady's suspension for deflategate was either part of the story line or cover to take the heat away from Goodell. The NFL is rigged and I am more convinced of that than ever. You'll never hear about it from the media because they are in on it. I don't know if I'll ever trust the NFL again. Goodelll leaving would be a start.

 

These people remind me of all those celebrities that swear up and down that they'll leave the country after an election doesn't go their way. Only problem is they never do.

 

I think next year they will require a email be sent to let the ball carrier know a tackler is coming his way....just another example of steering games
