Talking about the 70’s team compared to the Pats. Back then that was a different game of football verses today’s football. Can this forum picture Brady being a QB back then, HA,HA,he would probably play one game and cry all the way home.

Yep. Despite playing in an equally weak division Peyton's Colts only came away with one Superbowl win and one other appearance. Once your in the playoffs your only facing good teams.

The difference between Manning and Brady is Hoody. And no, Tony Dungy is not a great coach. How he made it to the Hall of Fame is mind bottling. Sports hall of fame's have become Hall of Very Good lately.

Tony Dungy took his team to the playoffs ten consecutive times. For that matter, Dungy constructed the 02 Bucs; Jon Gruden being the recipient. For me, he oh most deserves to get in.

Now, as to why Bill Cowher is not in, you got me there.

Brady is the GOAT. There's simply no disputing it. The fact that people get so upset over it just demonstrates that he is, because those people are typically unwilling to even consider him in talks for it- which is absurd.

Against KC he held on to the ball for an average of 2.1 seconds. What else is there to say? One of the best defenses ever wasn't able to withstand him simply because there wasn't enough time to get to him. I must confess I don't always understand what he's doing, because on occasion, usually in the first half of a game, it seems like he and the rest of the offense are still getting calibrated for lack of a better term.

But if the Pats we saw in the second half of last week's game show up to the SB, Rams will get steamrolled.

If it's any consolation, know that Father Time will find Tom's address, very soon. He's going to retire; he's smart enough to know his limits and when his time is up. It wouldn't surprise me if, should they win, he rides off into the sunset after this game. That won't do anything to take away from his legacy, but it will mean that the playing field will be even. At least more so than it has been for the past 15+ years.

Back OT, he's done more than anyone, yes even the Comeback Kid. Statistically it's obvious. People who give the nod to Montana are neglecting to filter out the greatest statistic ever- nostalgia.

I would have to say manning took them to the playoffs 10 times, and Dungy didnt coach manning because he was self coached, without manning Dungy would have never made it to 1 superbowl win.....Dungy is way over rated in my opinion....

Best team? No way. I'd say the Steelers, Cowboys and Raiders of the 70's, 49ers of the 80's and Cowboys of the 90's were all better teams. The best Patriots team was in the early 00's when they won 3 in 4 years. The recent SB teams are well coached and good teams, but the rosters differed greatly, as the Patriots cut players and sign new ones who fill the roles.... high turnover rate over the past 10 years. The constant has been Belichick and Brady.

    Best QB and HC? Absolutely.

Wrong. People who put Brady at #1 neglect to filter out the cheating. Brady is #2 IMO

What if Bill Walsh stuck around longer? I rate him better than Belicheat.

Oh, Vince Lombardi wasn't too shabby either.

If my Danish aunt had a dong, she'd be my Dutch uncle.

Bill Walsh is mentally weak and bitched and whined worse than a woman on her period. He had his chance to be great, but his pussy ass couldn't handle it.

Vince Lombardi and Bill Belichick are tied right now. If Belichick wins this week, he has the 1 spot, likley for life.

What, did Walsh pee on your corn flakes or, were you a Cowboy fan at the time? 3-0 in the SB and he missed his chance to be great? The father of the west coast offense and he missed his chance?

Go watch A Football Life with Bill Walsh. Or talk to Carmen Policy or Eddie DeBartelo.

From the standpoint of just pure football talent, the 70's Steelers are the greatest team ever. Joe Greene and L.C. would be stars in todays NFL. Terry, Swann and Stallworth in todays NFL would put up crazy numbers. I'm not going to through the whole team, but I think you get where I am going. People want to bring up the difference in the size of players then and now, which isn't unreasonable. But, I believe that if Lambert and Ham came up today with the same access to training and nutrition todays players have, they would still be Hall of Famers. As for brady, I am amazed at how he has dinked and dunked his way to so many calling him the goat. Personally, I don't believe in that designation for individuals in a team sport, unless they just do things to an extent no one else has ever done it. Can anyone tell me what brady has done as a quarterback that we haven't seen before?

Like the Spurs in the NBA, the Pats are a model of consistency. Being in a division that basically gives them five bye weeks per season helps but their record certainly puts them up there.
