The Peterson for AB trade talks are all over this board and it really leads me to think this is a very strong possibility. Was listening to MTC and PK said he has a buddy in the front office of the Steelers and the word from him is the Steelers do not want to trade him to an AFC team. With that said here is what I like:

AB, Burns and Burnett for Petterson and the first pick in the 2nd round. Trading Burns and Burnett will free up almost 10 mil and will help absorb the 21 mil we lose for AB playing elsewhere. Before you say why would the Cards do that well the answer is simple......they get the best WR in the game at a cheap price so that don't come free. JMO

The DL totaled 20 sacks in 2018.

If they trade for Peterson and put him in zone they are morons and his coverage rating on PFF is 83.7, which is much more important. He was targeted only 52 times last year. Compare that to Ramsey who was thrown at 97 times. QB's simply stay away from him, thats how good he is.

Steelers need CB's that can cover, your CB's shouldn't be leading in tackles.

QB's aren't going to be waltzing down the field with Peterson and Haden back there.

Not to mention with 2 good cb's that will also help the safety and lb position and give more flexibility.

This concept of AB for Petersen and a pick, be it 2nd or 3rd round is the most exciting of all the proposed AB trade scenarios in my opinion. TJ could have 15+ sacks and more FFs if Qs are forced to hold the ball a beat longer because guys are actually covered. More splash plays on D. And if we can actually hit on another pass rusher in this draft, our D can be legit top 5 again.

To be fair, one reason Ramsey is targeted more is because he has a quality corner on the other side. Bouye isn't exactly an easy target. They also have speed at linebacker and safety, so simply carving up the middle isn't so easy.

Peterson doesn't have as much talent around him, so it's easier to avoid him.

I know, wasn't meant as a knock on Ramsey, only to showcase how little Peterson is thrown at. Doesn't matter why, stick him on the other teams best and they avoid him.

Interestingly enough, Bouye was targets less than Ramsey, 61 times.

Other top CB's: Stephon Glimore was targeted 96 times, Marcus Peters 82 times, Xavier Rhodes 69 times, Darius Slay 86 times and our own, Haden, 94 times.

Theres simply no argument to make that Peterson isn't great.

I could see the cards wanting AB for the simple reason they hired Kingsbury to mold Rosen into an NFL caliber QB, and they dont have any star quality receivers other than Fitz and he may retire this off season, so getting Rosen some quality receivers is a must have for them to compete this year..........

Think Rooney should make a call to Arizona. Get this ball rolling.

Then bring in Earl Thomas and make me a happy person

Cards beat writers are saying it's very unlikely the cards would trade Peterson for AB .

For Rosen to develop, he needs a security blanket. AB is that blanket

It wasn't spell check. You didn't even come close to making your point clear. Spare us the ad hominem attacks, own your mistakes and do better.

I posted this a few weeks ago but it didnt get a lot of reaction. Cards need a WR, we need Peterson. I say make it a package deal and do Brown/Bell for Peterson/Johnson.
