Just when I thought we'd catch a west coast Steeler game in LA this next season, it's looking like the Chargers game will be held at that dreadful stadium in Mexico City where the Rams-KC game was cancelled in 2018. Maybe Santee and myself can join up with a southbound caravan and latch onto free-transport to MC. ;)

UPDATE: Just announced (1-21-19), Chargers will play KC, not Steelers in Mexico City later this year.

Nice. Essentially Chargers lose a home game and we gain one. I think the Cowboys and Raiders also popular down there.

I've been down there many times and was amazed at the Steeler gear the locals wear.

The Steelers may have a rough season next year, I hope they don't have to climb over a wall to get there:)

No problemo. They can just use one of the dozens of drug financed express cartel tunnels.

Yeah, I heard on the radio this morning it was going to be Chargers/Chiefs in D.F.
I've made that drive before and have no desire to do it again. WAY too many people! I was even there in the mid-80s when MX hosted the world cup. Talk about too many people!!
I'm going to go to Phoenix to see us play the Cardinals!

Let's tailgate or meet for breakfast Santee - I'm thinking that will be the game my brother(s) and I will catch also. Not crazy about the indoor stadium (hate the indoor lighting) but the overall setting over in Glendale is amazing, especially on game day morning when Steeler Nation takes over that entire town and entertainment business center. Got to witness the Ben to Wallace 90+ yd TD last time they played the Cards. :dancing:

Cool! My wife has a desire to see sports venues in other cities so, Phoenix is on the list! Besides, it's fairly close. (Stub Hub doesn't qualify as a sports venue) You going to drive?

One of my Brothers had a surplus of frequent flyer miles last time so we flew and rented a car. While I like the drive through AZ, flights from ONT to PHO are cheap and would shave off 10 hrs+ of combined driving so not sure yet. I may let them fly and I'll drive and take some side trips through the Saguaro badlands and Sedona areas. Not sure if the roof retracts, don't think so, but it has that crazy natural grass playing field that can be wheeled out to catch some natural sun rays periodically.

This makes sense, otherwise you'd have to make 17 Hotel and Flight reservations. LOL. Sorry couldn't resist. :hehehe:

...and confiscate your plastic drinking straws. Equivalent to rearranging the deck furniture on the Titanic.

Ah, yes. The straws. Fine sit down restaurants for giving them out without being asked but, don't do anything about the biggest offenders, the convenience stores and fast food places. Who's going to enforce this "feel good" law? Besides, if you get rid of straws, what will the turtles use to whiff their cocaine?
Sorry for highjacking the thread. Vamos Chiefs!
