Hey first time. Post here. Maybe it's been discussed in another thread but if Brown really wants out (which looks clearer by the day) how about send him to Arizona? PP Def wants out of there and would fit so well in our secondary.

Also we'd get a chance to send AB to a team of scrubs with an unproven qb. To spite him of course

Would you do it? Do u think Arizona would do it and do the numbers work out??

Would love that. I know this sounds nuts but I would trade brown to Cheats for Gilmore and a 1st. We would be fleecing them in that deal. I don't care what they think they can turn bad apples around, he would destroy their locker room and we would get a 1st and the best corner out there.

Or send him to the jags and get ramsey. Then it can be a real mess here

Oh yeah, I’d be all over AB for Patrick Peterson straight up! Holy crap that would be huge.

I’m hoping for a star-for-star swap, rather than getting a high draft pick.

AB for PP, Ramsey, or Von Miller, etc.

We’d need to probably make some cap room for another megastar contract, but there are some cuts that we could do to make room.

    I love this idea!

I wouldn't want Ramsey, he's as big (or bigger) a headache as AB. A true 'me first' type of player. He can ball, for sure. But if the reason we're trying to ship out AB is to cure the locker room cancers, then Ramsey would not be the way to go.

It has been discussed elsewhere. I'd certainly take Peterson straight up for Brown, but I doubt the Cardinals would do it.

Ramsey would make some sense, too, but I doubt either side would do that one.

The suggestion of Brown for Gilmore and a first-rounder is so bad it isn't worth discussing. The Patriots would laugh Colbert off the phone for even suggesting that deal.

Not a snowballs chance in hell that ever happens. And it was already reported the Steelers won't trade A.B. to the Cheats, Ratbirds, or Browns.

Yes, this is one of my favorite scenarios. I like the one with AB for Peterson and their 2nd even better but I think it is more likely they would ask for our second rd pick.

Would have worked better if you said whats so good about Patterson :lolol:

With a good Irish name like that, he'd fit right in with the Family.

I am serious though, is he wanted because of his name or is he really that good?

I'd get some high picks for the next 2 years. Take care of the future.

This season he was nothing special, 54 tackles, 1 sack, 2 picks, and his 2017 stats were even worse 34 tackle 0 sacks and 1 pick, so considering he would want a big money contract his production this year and last year doesn't warrant a big money deal, I say pass on him....

Shut down corners often don't have great stats because QB's tend not to throw at them.

Pat is not going to help them score points they need some good dline production and that can help the secondary tuitt and Heyward are mediocre they already not pass rushing DT but they get pushed out there gaps all the time or either hand fighting at the line of scrimmage or the dam bullrush

This. It's much more important that they shut down the #1 receiver which Peterson does, takes them out of the game. Only a 57% catch rate. Him and Haden would be a formidable secondary.

He doesnt play zone very well at all and avoids contact a lot:

By Walter Mitchell Jul 3, 2018, 3:00pm MDT

For some of us who have watched every minute of Peterson’s games, his genius as a press CB stands out, but so does his aversion to contact. At times, he does everything in his power to avoid it. When he does try to tackle, he rarely breaks down and thus he tends to come at the ball carriers way too high and is customarily brushed aside.

Last year, James Bettcher called more zone coverages than usual. While Peterson is now talking like he’s never played zone---he has. The truth is, he struggled in zones last year. His 79.6 PFF rating (#46 CB) is, in part, a reflection of his struggles in zones and overall with his tackling. If Peterson had strictly played man-to-man every play, his rating would have been higher.

Peterson’s steady decline as a punt returner has also, to some degree, tainted the national perception of him.
