I like that he has a past with Samuels and can hopefully utilize both backs and keep them fresh.

Yea Rooney said that Tomlin fired the old running back coach who was here for a while that Tomlin thought it was time for a change. Hope Rooney feels the same about Tomlin next year.

Well we really needed to replace that horrible RB coach for what he did with Bell,Conner, and Samuels over the past few years. Just terrible. Somethings not right behind the scenes on that whole transaction.

Yeah he must have been hitting on someone's wife in upper management or something. Doesn't make a sense at all.

As for the new coach, he's probably going to start lining up Samuels in the slot. << kidding.

Really I have no clue about him. Guess we will find out.

With Ben running the show? Highly doubtful.

Totally fine going to the college ranks for position coaches. Great way for the team to mine some talent and not make a massive commitment like other teams when they hire a college coach as head coach.

This guy spent time in Madison at Wisconsin, so I don’t think he’s a slouch. Pretty excited about this hire, the alternative would’ve been a nfl retread.

Heres Faulkners title at NC State, it doesnt say running backs coach, no problem though, the great Tomlin will convert him to the best back coach ever....

They'll be fresh...We are going with a new...just "slightly" different offense next year...No passing whatsoever...This will also help our defense because that will be 4 less players we have to give a hat to on Sundays...Thus giving us more ILB's to cover Keenan Allen on gameday...Brilliant!

You shouldn't disrespect Joe Walton like that GB. ;) (Spoiler alert - may have to dig in the archives to get this reference)

If there's a remote chance he takes Danny Smiths job next year. I'm all for it...

I found it odd they moved on from Saxon but this guy does have experience, just not at the NFL level. He has 5 years experience as a RB coach at Ball State. Also 1 year as an OC. Seems to be well versed.

How would you feel if you were James Connor about this new hire?

Munch helped in the run game too. Both he and saxon gone. Now we hire a guy with no not run game experience. Two of our tight ends are free agents. Our best receiver probably gone. This offense will be very different.

I really like the Hire. He Played RB, was an UDFA for the steelers in 01', didn't make the cut, played in the CFL before returning to coaching.

He not only knows the RB position but coaches FB, TE and was an OC and ST co-ordinator.

Nice little video at the end. Seems to be about the details.

Should be a solid addition to the staff.
