I know he said he probably wants to either finish his career in Arizona or retire but what would it take for the Steelers to sign him to even a 1 year deal to come home and play for the Steelers?? He can still play he caught nearly 70 balls last season and would be a great leader in the locker room. He would be a nice temporary replacement for AB if they decide to move on from him. What do you guys think about the Steelers possibly exploring this idea??

I like the idea. I do believe he would be a plus. They could show highlights of him coming real close to breaking our hearts.

Runner up for the Heisman while at Pitt - not too shabby. I'd have to think it would be his second choice if AZ doesn't want him back. Nice complement to JuJu and would only be for a year or two. I'd sign him. Certainly wouldn't hurt the locker room environment.

Yep. He is way beyond being in his prime. Six years ago or so he would have been a great pick up for us but right now he virtually adds nothing that any CB in the league would have to truly worry about being burned by. He'd be OK for short yardage pick up yards and nice to have in the locker room but that's about it. Honestly he should play out his entire career as a Cardinal and go into the HOF as such.

He is stilll a Rock star here in the Steel city, if he has anything left which I think
he does (50-60) catches /year yes I would see if he would be interested in joining team.
Immediate help in locker room also.

He still has some left in the tank. I would not be opposed to a one year deal. Yea he old but he is a HOF receiver. JuJu takes the #1 spot. Brown will be somewhere else pouting and throwing tantrums wishing he was still in Pittsburgh.

He would be a perfect option 3 receiver for Ben in this offense, especially on third down. Has the size and physicality to beat opposing #3 DB's and his hands are solid, think Hines Ward but bigger

Well, the opportunity to sign LF next year just got squashed, he's re-signed a one year deal with AZ. Pitt's put together an incredible composite HOF team with Marino at QB, Dorsett and Curtis Martin at RB, Fitz (future HOF-er) at WR and Ditka at TE. On D throw in some Ricky Jackson, Joe Schmidt and Chris Doleman and without a doubt Aaron Donald playing it out in the wings. :thumbs up:

I'd love to have him as a throw in to a Brown for Peterson trade. Brown for PP and LFG. I think he'd be a nice stop gap to play opposite of JJSS for the last couple of years of his career.

I'd rather have Golden Tate if AB goes.
